Tough luck for me yesterday
I had 3 providers who either NCNS'd or flaked out all together on me yesterday. I had some time yesterday so I tried to "schedule out" later in the day rather than meeting right after calling.
Two of the three providers I tried required references, which were gladly provided. After reference approval (so they say), multiple calls/e-mails later confirmed the time and place. In both cases, my departure final phone calls and messages went unanswered.
It was getting late so I finally contacted a third provider who I have even seen before. She picked up the phone right away and remembered me. A time and place was then agreed upon. I then waited for over an hour in a parking lot for a phone call that never came. Made me feel like a big schmuk sitting there like an idiot.
Two of the three ladies are very well reviewed providers here. This kind of behaivor should not be tolerated by either party. A simple phone call would of been sufficient even if they changed their mind or had bad vibes later on. I would be OK with it even if they made something up to cancel.
I should name names but I won't.
Lesson learned...I geuss nobody wanted my 300 bucks yesterday (the economy must be great afterall). Maybe I will just give it to charity. Better yet, maybe I should take some time off.
Honestly you should wait a day or so and if here nothing call them out. By letting this slide your letting them think this is acceptable. Just think thay could do it to you again or somebody else. But if your time isn't worth anything thats your call.
Give them some time to come forward but if they don't then you are helping the rest of us out by naming names.
If names are not named the behavior will contiue.
It seems during the last year every time I try a local provider I get burned. The local girls then complain when we only want to see traveling girls. The girls on tour seem to take care about business like it should be. In Six years I have only had one cancel and that was because she was from Florida and they had a hurricane so she wanted get home to her house, can't blame her for that. Three months later when she came back she remembered and did two hours for the price of one. May I suggest we email traveling girls more letting them know they are very welcome in Minneapolis.
Happy, sorry this happened to you, but what is the point of posting a NCNS, if you don't share the names. I'll never understand why guys think it is important to share their sorrows, without sharing the provider information.
So, if you can't share the information, maybe you can share your reasoning for thinking your post is helpful to the rest of us.
Not bashing you, but I really am curious why guys post NCNS without naming names? What is the Point?

When this stuff happens, it really is to bad, however, would you like to see the lists we have? I'm pretty sure it would be way longer, and I'm pretty sure that 1/2 of my list is reputable gentleman. Whatever the excuse may be, it's still nice to be notified that noone is coming. We do alot more to get ready and be prepared to meet you sexy gents, it's worse on our end.
Happy, I feel bad for you. I guess it just wasnt' your day! All 3 of those gals owe you extra time! Or to never see again! If guys wanna know, pm them, you're doing the mature thing not starting drama, but if the gal is known for NCNS, then maybe you do need to post names. The economy sucks, don't let any girl tell you otherwise!!

I had a helluva time trying to get someone to answer the phone or return my call, email or P411 request. I too finally gave up after several hours, rented a movie and put the cash back in the "play money" pot. I think all the providers must have been on holiday yesterday.
I agree this is uncalled for and seems to be getting worse. But if we who get stood up like that dont get some balls and name namesit will just continue. It is time to start calling all of them out, this will either change their mentality or run them out of town as they will have a difficult time getting clients.
And for us outstate Gentlemen there are the providers who announce upcoming outstate visits, right here on this discussion board, (like one a few days ago), which prompts us outstate guys to e-mail them to set up arrangments, and never ever get a reply. And as I'm been at this hobby awhile, I really didn't expect a reply as a reply would be a proper thing to do. Even a reply that stated "due to lack of interest, illness, a hang nail, personal issues, or global warming, my trip has been cancelled". But I got 'jack' for a response. Not all are like that. But my experience is that most are. Oh well...that's my 2 cents for today.
One the the ladies did call me this morning and was very sorry about what happened. She did say she would even make it up to me in some way or another. I have not heard from the other two as of this morning.
The point of my post was to bring awareness to the matter and how really unprofessional it is. Both parties should be made aware of this.
If nothing else, people reading this will take note and hopefully end it with behavioral change. I spent about half my day calling, e-mailing, and waiting for an activity to occur that never happened.
You can imagine how I felt waiting alone in an empty parking lot for an hour.
parking lot for an hour is a terrifying experience. what did you do the whole hour? You are lucky you didn't end up being sodomized by the big kahuna.
NCNS is no fun for sure!! Ladies get it too and it is aggravating after we do our hair and makeup. Plus some pay for rooms. Not good!

I have been in the hobby for 10+ years in and around Minneapolis. Up until about 6-8 months ago I had never had a NCNS. Now it's happened several times over the last 6 months. I'm not sure what's changed, but it has definitely gotten worse.
As for me, there have been a few times that I couldn't make a scheduled appointment for one reason or another and I have always called or e-mailed as soon as I knew. It seems like the right thing to do.
Things are going to come up and appointments are not going to be able to be kept from time to time. I don't think anyone gets upset about that as long as there is some communication and not simply a NCNS. That applies to us men as well as the ladies.
I'm sorry to all the guys who have been stood up!
I can honestly say, I have never NCNS nor do EVER I plan to do so. In my opinion, it's rude and inconsiderate of someone's time.
