Now that the reviews are mostly gone, how is everyone trying to replace the lost information?

I would think that it would be easier for well-established providers and hobbyists who still recognize one another but much harder for the newcomers.

I got into P4P when TER was just getting started so I know little about what folks did before and am curious if people are going back whatever they did before or whether sites like P411 and the new Switter site are what people are using.

... here and on P411 than I can see as often as I'd like.  As long as even a subset of them are in business, I'll be ok.

I'd hate to be a newbie in today's p4p world.  The reviews here were a big help to me when I was just a "young pup" (p4p-wise).

So long as it someone I already know and/or if they are on P411.  It's what happens as those ladies move on that's the question.  Hopefully this damnable law law will be gone by then.

Before TER, every time I saw a new provider, it was like taking one for the team, only without a team. Without reviews, providers delivered less of a quality service back then. Everything was an upsell, and the appointment ended as soon as the first pop. Providers were always running late because they kept pushing back appointments in favor of the latest caller. When I finally met a provider that I liked who I would currently rate as a TER 7, I became a regular and only occasionally took my chances with other providers.

I have a P411 membership because it made screening a lot easier after I collected some okays. P411 is also useful because they screen the providers so I know that I'm not wandering into a police bust. I avoid Switter because it seems to combine the worst aspects of Backpage and Twitter accounts for bitter hookers. I have also been seeing providers that I saw before the reviews went down.

and continues to enforce its ban on posting the names of review sites.

The ban on mentioning competitor sites is a hopeful sign... At least there is some glimmer they may reopen under new terms.

About the time they cut of the USA, TER had about 1.6 million reviews...
not its a little over 300,000.  I wonder what would happen to Amazon
if they lost %80 of there business!!!!!

I have an ATF that's semi-retired who I see, often now. I travel a lot, so new cities are now a problem. P411 helps, at least in preventing total ripoffs. I've tried a couple other review sites, but it's pretty hit or miss. Hopefully TER makes a comeback.

It's hitting us too in regards to using sites that may help with screening & verification. Regardless, I've found a lot more inquiries coming in via Eros (when I do advertise there), P411, SWitter, and good ole' fashioned Google. I think SEO (search engine optimization) is a big right now and you may start to find random tag words and tag lines on sites to help the search engines index websites faster. In addition, it is going to be much more difficult for new providers and clients alike especially with P411 no longer accepting new folks.

I'm sure you could get a great deal of information about clients from their reviews and posts.
