"PROVIDER’S REQUEST: There are many reasons why some providers request to be de-listed. Some of those are: child custody battles, pending legal action, stalker avoidance, retirement, having been recently “outed”, going completely UTR, etc etc. To protect their privacy, the specific reason or reasons why a provider was de-listed are not disclosed to the general public or TER members."
You likely don't know why a provider has been delisted - and those who continually try to mention them in posts through some misguided attempt to be helpful to them may be doing them harm.
I don't understand why people need to be reminded that providers simply want a certain level of respect and personal safety. This can be a dangerous profession and while we choose it, we do not choose the things that sometimes go with it. Why does that seem so hard for some to comprehend?
To those that "get it"...I thank you and appreciate your discretion.
I think part of the problem is there is no easy way to know who has been banned or delisted and whether it was at their request or for violating TER rules. It's all too easy for someone to see an ad for an escort which catches their interest, search on TER for info, not find anything because she's off of TER, and make a post asking for info all the while being completely unaware that TER won't allow her to be discussed.
I don't know how you avoid that sort of thing with the current rules.
