I for one think this is stupid.  Why would you remove the ladies ads to a remote location when that is the reason most of the guy come here?  Are you just trying to follow the lead of other provider sights?

New TER motto "Our board is just like everyone else"  This is the best way to mediocrity that I can think of.

Congratulations this is the dumbest thing you've done in years!

Ad posts will no longer be allowed on regular Regional discussion boards on TER please take note of these changes.

We have created new Regional sub-forums for provider ad posts only. Any provider ad post that is posted to the regular Regional board will be moved by the moderator to the Regional Ad posting board. Also, regular posts will not be allowed on the Regional Ad posting boards.

The ad posting Regional boards can be found in the same drop down menu as the rest of the Regional boards.

Please do not hesitate to contact the moderator of your board if you have any questions or you can contact the Staff by using the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page or by Pm'ing the infamous FFP.

...now we have to open another board tab to view the ads. I don't like it already,

Right now it just looks like another board to check.

If you're looking for shilling, look there, if not, look here.  How difficult is that?  The shillers aren't going to like it because they want to caw like a crow and demand unnecessary attention to themselves.

maybe it was a good idea. or maybe the counter is screwed up.

...a typical 'read' count would be around 600 or less by the time the posting left page one. Now, in just two days of the new policies, the provider ad reads are in the thousands??!!! And it's just not on the Minnesota board. I routinely monitor the Las Vegas, Phoenix, Atlanta and Florida boards and it's the same everywhere! I seriously doubt it. I think that TER has instructed their Mods to repeatedly click on the provider ads to increase their 'reads' tally, or, they've installed an app that logrithmically increases the read count, or, most likely, they have trained caged chimpanzees who will repeatedly click on a providers' ad to increase it's read tally in exchange for French cigarettes. That's disgusting!!!
I think that the TER powers are convinced that this is the way to go and are willing distort the results in order to advance their ersatz agenda.

They could put their ads on a separate page to make them easier to find, but they don't.

Yes you can but it takes a little work. First go to the top pf the old page and hit "home".Now you will be on the new page and work your way around to find it.If I could do it, anyone can.

This makes it all the worse.  I have not been using "New TER" because I don't like it!
Why aren't we taking note of what the the users want?

I don't think it's as dumb as the "new" TER, but I could be wrong.

I did consider that and determined that this is even dumber.   This is like a supermarket hiding the impulse items that you used to have by the cash register.

Sounds to me like this speedy change in policy may somehow be connected with the news out of Amsterdam today - major LE action.

Or provide more information.

Not really, now LE can just pick a seemingly easy target rather than have to sift through our discussions and 411's.

Oh come on, you don't really believe that do you?  If an old guy with bad eyes can do it, I am sure they can.

Do you really think the individual regional boards are too busy to accommodate a handful of provider postings each week? You have just created more of a hassle for your members without any added value!

Agree with the majority here that this was not wanted by the users and unnecessary.

in larger cities the quantity of ads makes it difficult for discussion threads to occur.

Since a topic usually "dies" after it falls off the front page, topics can be overwhelmed by the number of ads.
This is not a problem here on the Minnesota board but on the Chicago board, for example, there are already more than two full pages of ads.

I am just speculating because TER has not specifically said yet why they made the change.

If a guy is looking for a provider, it makes it much easier to go through a list of only provider ads.  Maybe they want TER to be more like BP and thus attract more traffic and eventually more paying members.

I also like the discussion board to be just that.   This used to be a guy's forum and maybe it will help get back to that.

Where does it say for MEN ONLY on the discussion boards? It seems you're implying that is why I ask.
Are you sure you don't want ladies posting their pics and flirting with y'all on here?
I'm a paid vip member ill read, comment and post wherever I feel like it thank you very much. :p

Didn't mean to suggest that providers should be unwelcome, just that at times the provider ads and provider threads have seemed to dominate the board.  I enjoy playful and informative banter with the ladies but this site has the following purpose according to TER on its About Us page:

This site is here for one single reason: We all work hard for our money and we don’t want to waste it on someone who doesn’t deliver as promised. We are also dedicated to finding those special women who truly enjoy making the time we spend with them something special.

I think the change helps with both sentences of this mission statement.

It's not difficult to click on the ad link. I've gotten used to the "new" TER and I will get used to the new ad board. I also agree that discussion may be improved by this move.

Just look, it's already stimulated this board.
