Just wondering why more of us haven't looked into and established more secure (yet still free) e-mail accounts with encryption...

NOTE: When email is sent between two Hushmail users, the encryption is seamless, automatic and exactly like regular email use.

I use hushmail as well and recommend it.

Furthermore, any email you leave stored on their server is 128 bit encrypted using your password.  If you use a strong password it is very safe.  Hushmail does not know your password so even if they received a subpoena all they could turn over is the encrypted file.  Unless you are dumb enough to have your computer store your password, your email is basically untouchable.  The only downside is, if you forget your password there is no way to recover it so don't forget.

May we live to see the day when such secretive methods are a thing of the past.

But, for now... I encourage the guys and gals to consider hushmail.
