"soliciting a prostitute" which would mean he was a client.
The article quoted above says "soliciting for a prostitute" which would mean he was a pimp?
This is my interpretation of this. Either way, the killing was hobby related and I feel a bit relieved that he was caught and charged and off the streets. Now, I hope they sentence him to a very long prison term.

As the stories move around in the press, I must admit that it appears as though I was wrong. Sorry to everyone. It still doesn't make sense that he would've followed her from the elevator to her room. How would've he known she was a provider? Unless, he saw her before and came back for a nightcap, but her schedule didn't allow it or she didn't want to see him again. Things got ugly, the knife came out, and things got that much worse. Very tragic.

The most recent news report I read said her pimp was one of two people who found her first after she was stabbed and that the accused was someone who made an appointment to see her.
Now, the story could still be wrong but I think it is anything but obvious that it was her pimp that did it.
It was a client. They got in an argument and she pulled the knife. Police traced the guy using his cell phone number. He shouldn't see the light of day again.
