I have been asked to check on IP addresses in a discussion thread started earlier. There have been many twists and turns in this thread and I have been watching it closely.

I tend not to get into the checking of IP addresses (mostly because of time), etc. but will check into questionable postings, i.e., mean-spirited, nasty, character defamation, and the like.

I also check into most of the questionable postings off-line via private emails to the parties involved. I have found that dealing with individuals off-line makes it less confrontational and problems are resolved easier and faster.

Most importantly, I leave it up to the individuals of this Board to "police" (no pun intended) what goes on here. I'm always amazed at the intelligence and savvy posed by so many of you people.

If you are questioning certain posts, keep asking the tough questions. The poster should have answers to the questions, if not, then each person must draw his or her own conclusion.

Again, if you have specific concerns, please use the private email system. I check it often.

Remember, this Board is only as good as the people using it.
