After the recent events in Brooklyn Park it seems that everyone has run and ducked for cover...

I thought it was interesting that news reports state that police were able to trace data from "burner" phones to make an arrest.  Glad that they were able to get the guy.

Does this make anybody nervous?

Especially for the family of the young woman that was murdered.

Does anyone know what name she used on backpage and ter? It is very sad,... So young and so much life ahead.

I'm more sad not just for the family but the fact they smeared her name after what happened is despicable,
As if that changes anything or somehow makes it OK now? Wtf.
I guess tact isn't one of their strong points.

Anybody who wasn't aware that cops can trace and get data from 'burner phones' since 2005 (when they did it on The Wire to bring down a drug gang), is sadly underinformed.

It's only a question whether the arrests are worth the effort.

is that the murdering a-hole had warrants for his arrest in GA where he was violent towards other backpage posters.  This should never have happened and I feel terrible for her family.  I am very angry at our justice system right now.

I am actually good friends with the father. I also knew his daughter. I can assure you that the family had no idea on her other activity. This is truly a terrible event and what makes it worse is this guy has a history of problems in Georgia. Everyone be safe and be sure to verify your clients.

I have not heard anything and no idea what is going on.

This was a murder.  They are exceedingly unlikely to expend that kind of effort for someone who sees an escort and doesn't harm her.
