The two that I've used have been acceptable, but overpriced for what they offer. Do any of the board members have a favorite? Both Downtown and the airport area would be OK.
Since you seem to imply that you will be getting the room for someone to meet you, then pick anyone you desire since there won't be a revolving door calling attention to the room. Good luck, have fun!
There's no need to list other occupants' names nor to "card" them. If you say there will be 2 in the room, the hotel/reservation clerk are just assuming it's your wife/girlfriend. Or you could tell them you're in town for your daughter's (or sister's) gymnastics meet, hockey tournament, whatever. And yes, they do have "events" for adults lol.
Whether you want to get 2 room cards or not... In my case, I always get 2. Sometimes I keep the extra one but usually I give it to the lady in case she needs/wants to go out. Once, one of my favorites went down to the bar and picked up some dessert for us...a yummy two-legged Asian sweet but that's another story.

It's an overnight, so I was also wondering whether the hotel would insist on carding her if I list two guests on my reservation.
I have never once been asked for any information about myself, my reason for being somewhere, or anyone else staying with me - or my desire for two keys when I only check in as one (hey people are forgetful!) - in my many years of travel and hotel sleeping for all kinds of purposes. Staff (in nice hotels anyway) tend to be very polite and interested in making your stay pleasant, not determine whether you should be staying there or not. Do not fret! Enjoy!
