I remember my first visit like it was yesterday... I showed up thinking it was going to be a mostly-business transaction. Would probably be some awkward small talk, followed by some only slightly less awkward sex, followed by an awkward good bye.
That first time affected me profoundly. I could not believe how connected she made me feel, and how the time we spent together was a genuine, honest expression of her need to comfort and nurture me. The gift in the envelope, while necessary, was just to pay the bills, the time we spent together didn't really have anything at all to do with that. I stumbled out of her loft apartment in such a daze I didn't even remember which direction it was to my car. I just never, ever imagined it would be that personal.
I got so lucky that my first turned out to be that way... Had my first time been one of the more average people I met later, my involvement with the hobby may have turned out differently.
You will meet some for whom it is truly just a check, and kinda "phone it in" a little, and that can suck sometimes when it gets really mechanical, or worse yet, you get ripped off. You will also meet some for whom it's just a job, but, they still respect you as a customer and appreciate what the envelope means to their life, and so they really do make a genuine effort to make your time very satisfying. And you will meet some for whom it is almost a calling, their need to see you, warm you, and replenish you with affection is an absolutely honest expression of their true self.
No doubt there are a zillion gals in the first category, and you WILL meet some. But there's plenty in the other two as well, and they are worth revering and cherishing.
