Last time I checked, it wasn't illegal to *look* for SW, it was illegal to *proposition* one.

Ah Ha, there is the misconception.  It may not be able to loo for a SW but it can be called loitering, which is illegal and an officer will chgarge you with it if they belive you are out and about looking for a SW.  FYI.

This is how urban legends are born. Loitering is not illegal unless it is specifically posted in the area.

The gentleman who told LE he was looking for a SW and had his car searched should file a complaint with the city as that is an illegal search/seizure. LE CANNOT search your car/house/person without probable cause. Driving around LOOKING for a SW IS NOT probable cause.
