We need ways to communicate about local developments with regard to safety.
There will certainly be court challenges to this law that we need a way to follow.
Some of those challenges will affect ads, reviews.
There are constitutional and legal challenges to sex work laws that may be applicable to us.
No other forum is going to follow these.

... for example, there's one part of the law that makes violators guilty of their actions that occurred before the law was passed and and even before it becomes enacted. I believe that a fundamental violation of basic law principles. Ex post facto laws are expressly forbidden by the US Constitution with respect to federal laws. Fingers crossed that common sense and basic decency will prevail in challenges to these laws.

I believe the ex post facto part will only be challenged  if they actually try ex post facto enforcement.  I don't think they'll bother, just go after current violators.  The only hope is that the assumed guilt part is too vague and restricts legal speech too much (i.e. dating sites are shut down.)

Even if "only" the clearly unconstitutional part of the law regarding "ex post facto" laws is challenged, it's entirely possible that the entire law will be struck down and sent back to the drawing board, or at least some court, (like maybe the ninth district) will grant an injunction on implementation and enforcement of the law until it works it's way through the courts, most likely all the way to the Supreme Court as the law will most likely be challenged on Constitutional grounds which quite often end up in front of the Supremes.

 
I do concede that I do not believe it is possible to challenge a law that has yet to be enforced. Someone is actually going to have to be arrested and charged for the anyone to actually challenge the law, the obvious question of course is "who is going to put the bell on the cat?"

We may not be able to do reviews here for now, but we can let each other know about ripoffs, NCNS, upselling, double-booking and other heinous practices by providers. And the local providers can post here and at least give us an idea of personality and maybe even menu options.

Any court challenge other than ex-post-facto is a long shot and would take many years in the Courts.    

Remember recently lost at the 9th Circuit with outstanding attorneys and arguments to support private consenting adult sex work.  The issue is probably dead for many years, increasing the risk to all involved vs the harm reduction model of Canada and other countries.  

BTW I just thawed out and defrosted in Phoenix with 100 degrees when I returned vs near 0 windchills at the UofM Stadium marching band event last Friday and driving 20 miles in the snow to Chanhassen Dinner Theatre (Newsies very good).   Its been 35 years since had to scrape snow off car and get defrosters warmed up as left their parking lot last Sunday.
