STD testing?

Just curious if there is a standard about how often most providers get tested for STDs?  Not trying to be disrespectful to anyone!  I like making out, and occasionally being oral and am nervous about Herpes or Chlamydia.  I am only seeing well-reviewed professionals but still . . .

It should be the same for everyone right!  Some say 30/60/90 days so it varies but, everyone should get tested periodically.

Keep in mind, your test is oly valid until you have sex the next time.  That is providing you did't have sex since you had the test taken and when you recieced the results AND that you waited long enough for the gestation period of most STD's(about 90 days) between the last time you had sex and when you went and got tested!

Stay safe by playing safe.

I get tested at least once a year.  As my hobby is a once-a-year treat, and my only other partner is my wife, I feel that's pretty good.  I have gotten a test after going to a provider that left me feeling uneasy & with a sore throat.  But thanks for the patronizing tone!

Wow, really didn't think I would get such vitriol.  Thought it was an innocuous, legit question.

had you prefaced your question by stating how often you hobby and how often you get tested maybe you would not have felt guilty and patronized by my wording.

I gave you an honest answer...you will hear from 30-90 days.  The rest is true as well, as soon as you engage in sexual activity with anyone, any testing you had done is outdated.  You do also have to wait a period of time since your sexual contact to be tested if you want the tests to be accurate.

Corerected my error in the title and added the following:

Richie 2 things, your post was demeaning towards escorts and you knit-pic the way I worded my response?  Intended or not, your name is condescending towards the hobby when you asked such question.  If answering your question makes me a prick, then so be it.  I don't often wear kid gloveas when speaking to what I assume to be adults!

...and every 6-9 months I take a trip to the doctor to do a full body check me out kind of thing..
It feels good knowing I'm fresh and clean... and why wouldn't you want to know if you had some dirty issues going on?

"OMG, I've been dreading that question. I can't lie, I only get tested when my herpes flares up and you can't see the signs of chlamydia for the oozing pustules. Damn you for outing all of us!!!"

Come on, dude - think. All you can do in this regard is be responsible and get yourself tested regularly. You didn't seem to like the answer takingmytime gave - but it was the right one. Maybe you posted the question here so that you can pick the answer that you like best?

I wasn't expecting people to be pricks.  I thought maybe there was an "industry standard" that the ladies adhered to.  Naive I suppose on my part, I know.  Anyway, thanks xxxplaymate for your response.

On the whole, you will find providers to be about a zillion percent more aware and responsible with their health than civilian women. It's kind of our job.....

if you didn't, by the very nature of your question, imply that the ladies in this business are irresponsible diseased cumbuckets.

I'm just sayin'....

Puck are you crazy! Do you not know what kinds of horrific diseases are on those public exercise machines. You might end up with Super Mega Space Herpes. Eeeww!

the mod has set the new tone of the board.  he likes to pick on the newbies and anyone that remotely asks a dumbass question as he sees it.

Dude, I never said anyone was an "irresponsible diseased cumbucket" - that was you.  There was nothing in my language that was disrespectful or salacious or that implied that escorts were dirty.

Escorts take offense to everything under the sun then post replies under an alias because they are chicken shit of any repercussions.

With that said, I didn't find his tone demeaning at all. I suggest some people get their Xanax prescriptions re-filled.

Good escorts are a lot safer in their practices and get tested far more often and regularly than civvies.  So don't worry so much.
