I just asked TER to allow me to access the provider's board yesterday... and they emailed me back today saying that they couldn't because other TER have used my computer? wtf gives with that? NO one has access to MY SMARTPHONE OR PRIVATE COMPUTER!!! And, I'd NEVER... I REPEAT NEVER let anyone use my personal phone for even a ride (an example) & DEFINITELY NOT MY COMPUTER!! NOR SMARTPHONE!!! I do access from public Wi-Fi spots at times before.

 woul d public WiFi do this???

I've gotten a LOT of emails here & privately, saying other providers have had the same problem & other hobbyists for RO board have had same problems too! so WHY IS THIS TER??? I SWEAR ON MINE & MY KID'S LIVES... NO ONE HAS ACCESS TO MY TBINGS!!! Can anyone shed some light on this PLEASE??

My guess is that TER is logging the IP address. Public wifi is the easiest explanation for why you and anotyer user may have both used the same IP. Also, you probably have  a dynamic IP, meaning that it gets switched around periodically by your ISP, and another TER user could have been assigned that IP at some point. Another possibility is if you ever used TOR (you would know if you had) which plays ping pong with IPs.

No idea how you would clear this up with TER.
