I have been asked twice in the past few months for a selfie prior to getting the final address.  Has anyone else experienced this?

… I have a selfie ready in case I’m ever asked. 😉

If you have a photo of yourself out on the internet somewhere, you can use that one.  Since it is essentially public, anyone could have copied it, so that gives you plausible deniability if it were used for blackmail.  It's unlikely to be a match in a reverse photo search if someone is trying to RL ID.  That works better on more famous people who's pictures are spread around more.

and there are a million ways to tweak them to make them unsearchable.

In answer to the initial question, yes, and sometimes I have sent one, but not without thinking carefully.

I think it is rather underhanded.  Screening requirements should be disclosed up front.

Agreed.  That's not a request to be held back until the last minute.  Would not be happy going through screening requirements and then come up against something like that.

I have been asked upfront as part of verifying and last minute prior to final address. Usually the latter is with Asian agencies. I have complied after carful evaluation. I do like Lockstocks idea of using a pic that is already out there…
Something to think about is why wouldn’t or couldn’t Leo do the same request during a sting per se?

Yes as someone said before anyone can steal your public or even private photos posted anywhere , selfies with okay or peace signs or thumbs up should never be requested

The main reason I ask is because there have been many times someone else was using a stolen photo in my early years

The other reason is so I know who to open my door for as many have gone to my door by accident who aren't there for my services instead are there for something more on the "muggle" side of business,

I also have had friends get attacked by clients , weapons heald up to the body and what not .. who only verify by providers that only okay johns whom they don't even like , we learnt over time whom not to take referrals from ... pretty shitty (reason why I don't take referrals anymore u less they can prove they are of retirement age)

But yes some of us will need your selfies ,

But we aren't going to force anyone to do soemthung they are uncomfortable with , I'd only wish to work with those who are confident enough to do research on a provider and trust us ,

Some of us even have ways you can read reviews and follow our social media etc.

If it makes u that uncomfortable just don't,  and it's fine

But please don't book and cancel "last minite"

And last min can mean different to every provider so just read their rules and etttiquette

Definitely.  Much better to know up-front so I can just look for someone else.

I ask for one. It is to confirm the person I booked with is the same person that comes through the door. I also really dislike blind dates, so I like to have a general idea of what to expect. And no, it has nothing to do with determining if I find you attractive or not. This was another thread on here that I had to debunk.....

lol I am not worried if someone finds me attractive... I'm not narcissistic. I was more worried that they wanted me to pose in the pic... like Rain said above.  I am not ok with that.  I am all for your safety.  If a provider needs one and I really want to see her, then I think that is ok... I would have preferred it to be part of the initial conversation rather than me showing up and all of a sudden getting asked for a pic.

I ask for a selfie with your screening info. Asking for one when you are standing outside waiting to be let in I do also think is odd.

I would assume selfies also help determine what size ball gag youre gonna need

I don’t send photos or IDs or anything. In the hobby or any other service or product I buy.

I do ask for a "selfie" in the booking/screening process. However, it's "appreciated but never required". I find it ironic though that some men won't send a selfie but they will ask for FaceTime Verification where someone could still take a screenshot of your face. Make it make sense.

Probably the same sort of thinking that leads people to believe that deleting an email wipes it out of existence.
