I am very concerned that escorts feel safe and secure at all times, but this tactic is one that leaves me a bit baffled.  When you are asked to call her for her room number upon arrival what is she thinking this safeguards her against?  If I am LE, I could still have my buddies in tow and we then proceed as if we knew where she was all along.  Or, is this simply a means to allow her to be aware of when exactly you may be knocking on the door.  More of a timing thing.  This issue doesn't bother me, even though I don't own a cell phone, I'm just curious.  

My initial thought was that LE perhaps needs a search warrent for a specific room number?  And by leaving no time to get one really they would be unable to proceed?  But that idea seems flawed and unlikely.  Anyone got any answers on this one?  I've caught on to most of the tactics of discretion in my time, but this one still eludes my logic.

Most independent or Agencies do the 2nd call when you arrive prior to your meeting.  This is done to minimize the LE having adequate time to get things set up or watch the room or have surveliance in the room next door.  

In my opinion if LE thinks something is going on, they do NOT need a search warrrant, just probable cause.  Even if you are caught in a room with the lady, they have to prove you paid for her services.  Whether you are married or not, they will obviously play the guilt card on you and try to get either on of you to roll on the other.

It is not against the law for 2 consenting adults to have a good time in a hotel room, it just against the law if you pay for the sexual act.  Take a look at the disclaimer that most escort web sites have on them.  While this does not release them from harms way, it states you are paying for her time not a sepecific act(s).

That is part of it.  But it is also to prevent a client from banging on the door while the previous cleint is still in the room and to make sure the girl is ready.

I guess you all have finally given me a rason to get a cell phone. I wasted 15 minutes with my last appointment just trying to dial HER cell phone from the lobby pay phone only to find out her cell phone had died during my second call leaving me stranded without a contact. She found me and it turned out to be a wonderful evening.

I have to say I can't imagine participating in this hobby without the use of a cell phone. I'm not knocking you at all but it has to be a major pain not to have one for this use. I'd be uncomfortable as hell using a lobby pay phone.  I'm more of a walk in the main door and head straight for the elevator like I belong there type. I'm inclined to believe you'll be a hell of a lot happier with one for this kind of stuff. On the other hand there have been quite a few time's I'd like to have smashed mine in a million piece's due to poor connection's, outrageous charge's, etc., etc.
