I just saw some of the footage from the flooding and it's unbelievable. I would never expect a city built on a huge hill to flood like that. Hope everyone's safe and sound and staying dry. xxx

Keeping dry. Well.... most of my anatomy anyhoo. Lol! Saddly though three human lives were lost as well as several animals at the local zoo here. Residents are puting roses in the fence surrounding the zoo. It is sad but heartwarming at the same time. Thanks for your concern Remy! Safe wishes!

it's because the city is built on the side of a hill that the damage is so severe: water rushing downhill washes everything away.
some areas of the city are pretty devastated, others not so much. it will take a long time and lots of money to repair streets and such. fortunately the only casualties were some barn animals at the zoo.
