I like having reviews, mostly because i put the link on my site and therefore I don't have to take the risk of telling guys what kinds of services I provide. They can just look at my reviews and get a good idea there. I prefer HONEST reviews because although a glowing review could look good I kinda like to know how a guy REALLY felt about my session. Once a guy wrote something totally untrue in one of my reviews and even though it was flattering I asked for it to be removed because it gave guys the impression that I offer something that I do not provide. So when guys ask me if they can write a review I tell them I don't mind if it's negative or positive as long as it's honest. If it's negative I'll learn something and if it's positive that's flattering so you can't really go wrong either way.
I have heard and thought many different things about reviews. It is a completely love and hate relationship based on my own opinion, and that of many other ladies I talk to. I like to think reviews help my business in 2 ways - they show my strengths and good parts to potential clients, and they show me what I can improve on.
I like to think that the reviews are a good representation of the service I provide, however it is entirely an opinion based business we are in. What is good for one is definitely not good for all, and in no other business does YMMV take on a greater meaning. The ladies I know and associate with all do their very best to give their best possible experience every time out, and even when things don;t go the best I always want to make sure I feel as though I have given my all to make sure the person I am with has pleasent memories of our time together.
I personally think the hobbiest review is a silly idea and would serve no purpose. The clients that are dangerous, rip-offs, or just plain rude and obnoxious are already known about by most of the ladies - we do what we can to protect each other, so I don't see where a review board would be necessary or practical. All it would do is lead to flame wars between people that shared an experience that was not pleasant for either - I prefer to let it lie and let one or 2 bad reviews fall by the wayside than to blame the other person for not liking who I am. I never have and never will claim to be perfect for everyone, and we are all bound to see someone we don't click with from time to time - it is a part of this business and of life in general.
I hope that answered the question at hand! Hugs, Amber
