I can't speak for the other girls, but I personally check my e-mail at least twice a day, and do my best to promptly reply to every one of them.  The reason I use e-mail as initial contact is that I live in Iowa, so when I am in Minneapolis (my usual stomping grounds) my cell phone is in roaming, and I can't afford to pay 70 cents a minute for every guy that reads this board to call up "because he wanted to hear my voice".  I know most of the nice gentlemen that I see don't bother me with that kind of call, but I have also had someone call me nonstop when i was in Chicago, and I can't afford to have $1000 phone bill for a one week tour - and it HAS happened!  If I haven't answered an e-mail I apologize, but once in a while I forget to copy and paste the e-mail address a gentleman leaves into the reply e-mail and I send it to my webmaster - he set it up for your anonymity that I don't know what e-mail address you are using.  Just e-mail me again to remind me that i made a mistake, I'm only human

Ooops-upon further review, I did over-generalize a bit.  I didn't mean to include the gals that are often here on TER who are on the net regularly.  The providers that frequent the boards here on TER (and you've gotta admit, they're among the very best in town, and I'm not just saying that for points) tend to be really good with e-mail.

I meant that using e-mail as an introduction to someone you haven't seen yet, aside from this on-line group, doesn't really work.

I hope my post wasn't taken as me venting...  Simply an observation, not a condemnation of the hobby or any provider.

I used to use e-mail to initialy introduce myself and get the dialog started, followed by a phone call once I was ready to schedule.  My point was that this rarely works any more.  There's a small handfull of providers (Lisa, Madison, Misty are good examples, but there are more) that are active on e-mail (and in these boards too).  Any one of them could certainly be put off by the generalization I may have implied.  But outside of that handfull, responses are rare.  Randomly pick 5 e-mails from EROS, drop each a line, and see what you get.

As for the short notice thing...  I don't think anybody, including the original poster, has real heartburn with the short notice problem.  I think that the frustration about the no-shows (another discussion thread I'll probably start) transferred itself into a generally frustrated posting.

The only solution to the short-notice problem is to keep a longer list of possibilities.  The more providers you know, the more likely one will be available.  Being able to host outcall helps, as does using apartment based incall providers, but hotel incall is hit-or-miss.

Shrek thanks for your input.  I know some of us have taken offense at recent posts about not being available etc.  But you said it very well.  I think some of you forget that we have other lives as well, some of us work go to school, have familys and other obligations in our lives as well as trying our best to be accomidating to you gentlemen.  I know for me I changed my site to include Incall schedule a month in advance so you will always know when Im doing incall as well as posting it here so you dont have to always check the site.                              Also it is Holiday time and last minute apts may not be availiable.  Please guys understand that we may want to be with our familys as well.  We are real women not robots.  Thanks for understanding that many of us want to treat you like the king you are when you are with us, and not be rushed to see alot of people or to treat you as just another encounter to the long day ahead so we can see everyone who may want and apt.  I for one want to enjoy the session with each and everyone I see.  So I limit apts each week.  Just my thoughts.  Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
