Why do guys do this CRAP?? Yesterday, some a-hole went to see my friend Chrissy. I'm not going to go into detail, but when he hadn't paid, and was asked for it, he acted as if he were going to the bathroom, opened the bathroom door to block her view of the front door, turned on the lights & fan to drowned the sound, opened up the front door, and took off running down the hall. What a bum! It's rotten no matter how you look at it -- I'm in a service business, and it happens to me, too -- but without the drama of the guy running down the hall. The other side of it tho, I suspect, is this: some guys see providers because they're thrill-seekers or they're into power. Not paying is an extension of this excitement. It's not about money; it's about getting off on getting away with something and about exercising power over the provider. (Remember a few years back, those people in Roseville -- the Dicks [yes, that was their name] -- he was a dentist, but the whole family engaged in massive shoplifting -- same thing - they had the money, just wanted the thrill). Anyway, I hope your warning works, Morgan. On the other hand, we all know that there are enough crazies out there in general and in this business in particular that this guy really ought to be worried about "what goes around comes around." Maybe some creative provider ought to play Mistress and chain him to a radiator!
