Can someone tell me how this "tip" would be linked to an internet ad? How would they know that the person at that apt was the person in the ad. Or, did a disgruntled hobbist turn her in???
The tip undoubtedly easily led to a name. A name could easily be tied to a drivers license, which has a picture, and/or a phone number. Either could have led to an internet ad. Just one way it could have happened.
i agree that LE could get the name of the apt lease, but that name is different than the web name, right? or does the concerned nieghbor know her web name? by the way KQ had the story today and read everything on her website
I was thinking a name leads to a drivers license which leads to a picture which leads to the web listing by looking at different ads. Alternatively, if they got her phone number from her name then a search of phone numbers on the web (TER for example) could lead to the web listing). Obviously, I don't know for sure but I could see it happening this way.
I hope KQ is proud of themselves. Kind of like kicking some one while they are down or pouring salt in an open wound. Not the kind of behavior I can respect.
KQ made a mistake and read from the wrong web site. They read from crissybaby's website not crystal's. Crissy charges 350 and asks for refrences. Crystal charges 250 like the news story and does not always require refrences. I feel sorry for Karissa/Crystal but it is not Kq's fault for discusing what's in the paper, that's what they do. Kq should blamed for bringing crissy (accidently) to everyones attention.
The important lesson is to check references! That is the only way I know of to avoid this type of situation. The ladies who don't verify are just playing roulette. Sad, but true.
If the townhomes are the ones I'm thinking of the neighbors are VERY snoopy. Most are older, retired, with too much time on their hands. It could be the neighbor did all of the investigative work on the internet and gave that information to the police. And since it was the Washington Cty boys, and not the Woodbury police, it may be that the neighbor just kept going up the food chain till someone would listen to him.
I have to agree it is more likely it was the location. Some locations are just too conspicuous to keep using for long, particularly if you have nosy neighbors.
There a aera in the transport bldg by the capiotal where you could a info from a licence 3 for a fee no questions asked. The place has moved to downtown St Paul.
Not to reveal that I'm not really a tough guy ate heart, but I was sad when I read all this. Has to be really tough on a young gal, new to the business, to go through this kind of wringer... Kind of a lonely feeling I bet. And unlike a traveler from Florida, in this case her name's in the paper and better yet, on KQ, so there's no easy escape. Word gets around, and by now, her friends, neighbors, family, probably all know. I've never met Crystal but my heart breaks for her.
Yes, it is a damned shame that this happens. It's a waste of all our hard earned tax dollars to have LE doing this when there are real crimes that really hurt people happening all the time. Some people really need to learn to mind their own business.
