After much experience, and finding myself out the door many times (even with providers I liked who knew I did not really care) in 45 minutes or less, I started to consider the half hour appointment.   There are many benefits:   (1) obviously, the price, which generally allows one to have 3 hhrs rather than 2 hrs and thus have more sessions; (2) as mentioned, not that much less time than you often get; (3) if you connect with a provider such that you might get extras, you often get them anyway; (4) easier to explain why you did not respond to your SO for a half hour as opposed to an hour; (5) easier to sneak away from office for an hour including travel to and from; (6) overall efficiency; (7) no need to waste time if no connection; (8) no need to sit through crappy massage to get to ending.  Now, there are a few providers whom I would only see for an hour because the experience is worth it, but frankly, for many purposes, the hhr suits me more regardless of the price such that with some I might prefer it even at full hour price.  Downsides I have noticed are being viewed as cheap and thus receiving crappier service, getting a bs cancel when someone wants to book your time for an hour, but mostly people just thinking you are cheap.  Any other thoughts on the subject, from provider or pedestrian?

Even an hour is barely long enough for my taste. I prefer 90 minutes, and sometimes do 2 hours or more.

One of the main reasons 30 minutes isn't long enough for me is that I really enjoy exchange massages, and 30 minutes isn't long enough for even a half-assed (pun intended) job on that.  Also, the "massage" providers I like to see are great at activities other than massage, and 30 minutes isn't nearly enough time for a decent massage plus those other activities.  Even in a 60-90 minute massage session, we occasionally skip the massage, or at least cut it short.  

But if you like the idea of 30 minute massage sessions, go for it!  I think you hit on some potential downsides, but since I've never booked a 30-minute massage session, I can't speak to those downsides from experience.

Call me crazy, but I don't care what someone is into in regards to appointment length. If you'd found 30M work for you, then keep doing it. Unfortunately are there certain assumptions surrounding a person who only does 30M sessions, whether provider or client? Yes, and it's stupid. You have to do what works for you, regardless if you are a pedestrian or a provider.  

 
For some it's a matter of (1) personal preference or (2) just their schedule. In regards to personal preference, with a new friend, I am unwilling to go below my 90M minimum. I just can't. I know me, and me has to get to know someone a bit before I shag them. Plus the ability to have time for a bit of chit chat, foreplay, and fun (more than once *wink wink*) is ideal in my opinion. If we continue seeing one another, I am more than happy to accommodate a 1H because I enjoy seeing them. In regards to schedule, while I was brought up to believe that no one's life is any more busy than another's - I'm really busy, especially during the week. For me to even see a friend, it takes some effort on my end due to my career & school committments outside of this avocation. If I'm putting in a ton of effort including all the prep before a date (hair, makeup, nails, outfit, etc., basically, all the things you don't see) and schedule shuffling (I have to read those 300 pages for school at some point) it has to be worth my time.  

 
Again, I don't think it's right for someone to judge you for your preference - especially if it makes more sense for you and your life.

Yeah, the experiment may have run its course. I saw six new providers last month on the 30 minute experiment.  2 are no repeat.  2 I already repeated for another 30 minute session because that was good, but one is moving away.  The other 2 are good for an hour plus repeat visit though, so that is a positive.  But both are pricey so I'd have to cut back on frequency. Maybe just for times when trusted providers have dwindled it can be an effective tool.  There are very few whom I haven't seen that I want to see, so the half hour was an efficient way to see if I was just misjudging.  In two cases I definitely was.   I might employ the method again, but for now I'll be cultivating what I found.

Kudos to you for demanding what you do, but you are just out of my price range!   I wish that was not the case, but again, good for all who make it well worth their while.  

I used to do a lot of 30 minute sessions some years ago and most gave me what I was hoping for.  These days I don't do those.  What I'm looking for has changed and getting older has made a difference as well.  If you have providers who provide 30 minute sessions that work for you, great.  It's your choice.

I appreciate the kudos. If you ever find that you could maybe... save up a lil' bit feel free to treat yourself and get in touch. If not, no harm no foul. I'm not everyone's cup of tea but I am someone's Laphroaig neat.

Getting the time to get away is a major factor when I go for the half hour. It is much easier to slip away for a shorter period of time. But, I sure do enjoy the additional time when I get it.

For the most part, I've had the same experience as you with the 30 minute visits: I was treated as a second class citizen--even by a well-respected provider. I've found that mentioning it ahead of time helps. I will say that I know 30 minutes isn't a lot of time but explain that I'm still not expecting a GGG visit (I usually try to mention this lightheartedly). Sometimes we're able to chat over text or e-mail to get to know each other a bit (I always ask before trying to hold a long conversation, though). Other times we just have an understanding and are able to move at the proper pace. Once you have a working relationship with someone, a half hour should be more comfortable for both of you. Knowing each other almost always enhances the experience.

Lately, I've realized that I need an hour or more to really be satisfied. I like the get-to-know-ya time as much as the physical acts. Sometimes the psychological intimacy is even better than the physical stuff. I just need to make the time for it. That means fewer appointments for me, but it's worth it.

...tried it a long time ago. Didn't work for me so I nixed it. Therefore all of my dates are a 1hr minimum. Main problem was mostly with guys coming in with their mind already on the ending in a hh massage. Your mind isn't going to let your body relax no matter what the girl tries to do if you're strictly focused on getting a nut (vs overall experience).

That.... sure it's not too often that I'd love  
nothing better then: a half hour ~ curl my toes & make me forget all about real world BS~

I've noticed  it's more likely to be on a Monday or Tuesday.....but yes yes yes sometimes I don't mind getting nakeed quickly (well I always luv that) & making......... many mutual smiles!!  

I agree with whoever said that knowing the person really helps, this way they're not thinking you see them as cheap & you're not too nervous, to truly WOW a person.

My life allows this once in a while, & once in a while that 30mi. makes for an awesome reboot!  

IMHO if you plan on the 'dirty 30 time frame', you shouldn't just assume she's up for it,  
meaning always check to see, it's highly dependent on ones real life, & subject to change.
