How many reviews do these ladies with the high prices have? It's not just enough to run an ad; I've seen them out there asking 500 and over. It's also what kind of business they are getting.
For all of you that think this price issue is just a local issue. Read the comments below from a number of independent ladies I have spoken with regarding how closely they are watching this issue. Make NO mistake about it, this newest local gency could be responsible for increasing pricing that will affect all of us in the near future! Here are some of their thoughts posted with their permission. They have asked NOT to be named for privacy.
We are watching this with full interest. Expect a flood of higher priced indy's visiting..including myself..at least for the new clients. If these rates stay as she is dictating then the pre book rate will be history since I will be well below market without it.

Well, they are all saying that these chicks are upstarts...if they are getting that rate then we all have to raise ours since we have EARNED our bones and that they haven't. That the guys don't appreciate us by patronizing them at those rates and so if that's the case..fuck em and raise touring rates since they will pay it anyways...shit along those lines.
...I don't charge that with 19 pages of reviews...IF they are going to get those rates then the rest of us well reviewed girls should be able to get it also and that is the buzz on the board. Just who the fuck do they think they are? If the guys are willing to pay THEM with their track record then the rest of us shouldn't get fucked out of the money when the guys are opening their wallets for 2 nobody providers
I can't either...in fact I am on their band wagon That $50 off adds up at the end of the tour especially when the new agency is getting those absurd rates. We flagged the review thread on our board. We are watching to see what /who reviews them. We are watching with great interest. IF she were the creme de la creme..it wouldn't interest us as much..that is what these guys don't understand.

Well, I will take credit for the first quote. If the rates start creeping up to the 350 -375 rate then I will definitely be eliminating the prebook rate for new clients and nonregulars.
I originally started the prebook rate for several reasons. Once was that at the time the rate was 250 - 300 for a great GFE..the prebook rate assured me that my friends would book in advance (therefore saving me the trouble of screening etc since I don't take same day apt unless the gent is known to me) and the gents appreciated the price break.
However, if the rates in the LOCAL market are starting to creep up to the 350 - 375 rate that would put me 100 below market.
I am traveling here from Fl. and have traveling expenses that the local girls do not (trasportation, hotel, airfare and eating every meal out). IF the local rate is at 350.00 I don't see why I shouldn't raise my rates a tad bit to the 300 that I charge everywhere else except DC where, they too have a prebook rate.
I know that I am going to catch a little heat for this but...it's simple economics. If the local rates go up..so will the touring ladies and agencies (although they might not raise their rates all together they might start sending thier higher priced girls).
I don't begrudge anyone their rates...EVERY girl is entitled to charge what they feel they are worth and if someone doesn't like it....move on. And as of right now, there is only one agency charging higher than market. But if more jump on the bandwagon...so will I
BUT on the same token...it is a business and many of us ladies ARE business savy and will attempt to maximize what we can make. That 50 - 75 per apt adds up after awhile and it is less apts that a lady has to take (especially if the difference is 100 as it is with my prebook rate..250 to 350 is a BIG difference). If a lady sees that others of her caliber are getting the a higher rate..you can bet your bottom dollar that the rate will go up. The market is supporting it...why not ?
I love the TC community and have always been treated wonderfully here. But if the rates do start creeping up to that level..I will eliminate the prebook special and go back to the regular rate of 300.00.
That isn't a being greedy..that is just not being dumb..if everyone else is getting it...then I would be a fool not to. The old friends would be grandfathered in (because they have and do support my tours).
I have really come to understand that statement more in the last few months.. I had it explained to me this way... For whatever rate a gal may go to if she feels more comfortable with that level and just knows she doesn't have to see as many guys...she in the end will be more comfortable in giving a great experience and be more giving in her time.. maybe I'm crazy but it sure is nice to know that sometimes the clock doesn't start when the door is closed….
Every lady has to find her comfort zone. I'd have to see 5 gent's at 200 compared to 3 at 300 with twice the volume of calls and emails. I do however discount my rate to gent's that I see often, which I think most ladies do.
When business gets "too good", rather than up my rates, I've found a minimum 2 hour date with new clientele keeps the volume of calls and emails at a sane level. And, I can give alot more "GFE" on a 2 hour date vs one hour.
I'd love to sit on the 50 yard line/row 1 at a Vikings game to check out those cute tushes, but I would have to pay too much to do so. I wonder if I called the Vikes and whined enough, if they'd give me a better rate? Hmmmm
I thought the new ladies were smart to start at 400 per hour. Each market (200, 300, 400.00) has a TOTALLY different clientele base. More power to them to start at the top!
I disagree that any rate justifies staying over a planned itinerary. If you want to see someone for 2 hours, ask for 2 hours. I don't understand why my time would be less valuable to my clientele than any other professional. I give myself time to shower, clean up and make everything just right between dates. When a man wants to stay for an extended time over planned (over 30 mn's), it poses a scheduling problem and I can't help but feel he's putting me in a different class than any other professional.
BTW: The only times I've had problems with hobbyists in my career are when a man confuses his ego with what I'm able to offer him. I hope this helps some men understand the balancing act we go through on a daily basis to keep everyone happy. Showing a man he's special to me while still managing to not disappointing someone else can be difficult if a man thinks I find him special solely on how much time I can spend over what is planned.
I may have a tainted view here.. And I don't disagree with anything you are saying.. I would never think of overstaying a visit or do I believe someone is more special just because they may or may not be more giving in there time… Now will I try and seek those people out… well the answer to that is yes… And because of that I have gotten to meet some incredible women!!... that I now can call friends in this hobby. I guess it just is nice not to be treated like an ATM… yes it’s about the money I always understand that! I think what I am trying to say is… that everyone can have a different view on what makes for a great women.. No ego here!! Just a fool sometimes…LOL!!!
Some girls give lower rates to long standing friends. To me, lowering my rate to see someone I find special accomplishes the same thing, but allows for good communication so I'm not taken off guard.
If you're seeing mostly traveling ladies and you're their last apt, it wouldn't be hard to invite a lady to dinner OTC, lucky fool more like it
I have never purposely or for that fact unintentionally tried to over step any boundaries. Like I said... maybe my view has been tainted by some of the women I have met… I would think that any women would be willing to tell me if I had! That is good communication. We all know that this is about the game!! And time is money… no rose colored glasses on that one!! But to connect with someone as a friend means just that.. Do you always charge your friends for your time??? Don’t friends just hang out to chat??? There are many ways to show ones appreciation… yes it usually involves money but doing something special for someone that appreciates it makes it all the more worth while!! And I feel flattered by those that can take their guard down around me… maybe a fool but I just had someone call me their ATF... Love that!!....LOL!!! Ohhh and I do spend most my ching on the locals!!!
OK So if I am to understand this. The ladies you talked to are mad because they may be able to charge more. That makes very little sense to me. Sounds like "Fuzzy Math".
There are Ladies that come into town or are local that all have higher price points. Many do not have reviews or any info. They keep coming back though. So someone must be seeing them.
As far as Mdl Goes I take anything he says on here with a grain of salt. This board worked alot better when he was Banished. Much more reliable info and less misinformation.

Here is some facts for ya. Thier is now 7 providers on eros with price points above $300.00. Tat doesn't include Paris and her pail. Name one other time, and include names and rates, when thier has been 9 ecorts at $350.00.

As an interesting diversion I ran a TER search for Providers in Minneapolis who had a performance between 7-10 on all categories and had more than 3 reviews. I also specified that I would pay between 0 - 300.
My search turned up 50 results. Now of course I know that some of those are massage but the point I am making with out promoting any one specific provider is that there are lots of options for high quality providers at $$$ or less. Add to that the number of travelling ladies that come to Mpls for $$$ and I think us hobbiests have plenty of options.
Been awhile since I posted, yes I am still here! Just wanted to comment, these days it seems like pricing on most things are usually a race to the bottom line, who can provide the best service/product at the lowest price point. It is that way in my industry and others I am involved in. That is what we are as comsumers, bottom line shoppers. As prices rise in this indsutry, there are niches to be carved by ladies trying to get started, ie: more services for less money to build a base. It is the nature of the business. Now when the product/service you are offering is in high demand, to the point where you cannot keep up with orders, you start raising prices, and you keep raising them till the business starts to slow, that is called price discovery. We as consumers are somewhat responsible for the creep up in prices. Double edged blade though. The fact that we are such good little consumers out here in the TC area, has brought more tours in. Demand is strong. I think we are just seeing a micro economy structure in the cities right now. When the price points go to a point where business starts to evaporate, and a few newbies come in and start slashing prices to establish themselves, you will see stabilization in the "economy" You control the economy with your wallet, what you are willing to buy and pay for says it all. Gas prices are a perfect example of what is going on right now. When gas finally gets to 5 dollars, I am sure we will all be figuring out ways to stay home and not drive. Same here for the ladies, when it gets to the point that we all do not want to pay the price, they will either drop price, or quit showing up. Sorry about my long winded rant here, and I really didnt accomplish much, just wanted to say, no one is really at fault, just vote with your bank accounts guys!

While I agree that MDL is informative and helpful, I do have to comment on his characterization of this issue as being macroeconomics. While the rest of the college was getting laid, economics majors were busy studying the difference between microeconomics and macroeconomics. Macroeconomics deals with interplay between and amongst seperate segments of the economy. Microeconomics addresses the function of one segment, with an example being the hobbying segment of the Twin Cities economy
...the problem I have is when less than model material providers who give limited service -- ie, no dfk and cbj only think they should get a higher rate because of inflated reviews from the locals who haven't seen anything better. Having lived on both the east and west coast for extended periods of time -- I can tell you there is not one single provider in Minneapolis at this time who lives up to the 9's on either coast (and please don't insult me by telling me Paris could model) who get anywhere from $$$ to $$$$$$$ and provide bbbj and dfk. The scene here is sadly hopeless -- so maybe some new blood wouldn't hurt.
While any rating system is subjective, I really think there should be a new rating system that includes a "Minnesota 9" to help us wade through suspect reviews. I can't tell you the number of times I've been disappointed walking in the door to a 6 or 7 with stellar reviews.
Absolutely correct, I remember paying $$$$ for a PSE that had uniformly high reviews only to get something that was south of GFE. Makes me long for the days of Catherine Spiga at $$$ to be an absolute bargin.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the ladies of mntouchofclass WILL NOT be able to maintain their price point. Once a few local fools find out what the rest of us already know their phones will go dead and they will find out in a hurry about the market price. They are nice ladies but they simply don't offer us above market service or looks.
It's good to see the reactions of some of the ladies and that they are less than pleased. At the same time that they will raise their rates if this new agency can make their prices stick should surprise no one. I hope this out of line increase swiftly vanishes and we can get back to being one big sorta happy mildly disfunctional family
