depends on if you know the other provider who is inquiring about the hobbyist.  If you don't kow her I would be very hesitant about giving out the information.

If she is a well known provider or is listed on a web site, I would see no issue in confirming that you haev seen them. I would NOT give out any additional personal information to her that she does not have.

If the guy thinks he is going to use you for a reference at a later time he should tell you something about himself that is unique. When he wants to see another provider who requires a reference he should tell her this as well. When she gives you this piece of information you will know its him and a simple "Yes I saw him" is all that is necessary.  Missy Petite visits this site a lot and perhaps she can provide some insight as well.

I wouldn't give it out!... The only way I think that it should be given out is if the guy has told you someone maybe calling to do a referance check...
Just way to much personal info floating out there and best to try and control it as much as possible??...

Since I mostly tour, I use a code word method.  It has worked out wonderfully for me.   I am a reference friendly provider and do not mind giving a gent a reference should he need one since it saves him aggravation when it comes to screening.

Until I know the gent well, I use a code word system...I keep the gents first name and then ask him for a word that he can remember and the last four digits of his phone number.  When they ask for a reference, they would tell the provider they wish to see:
Hi this is Ted So and so...I have seen Missy and my code word is golfer8818.  

On my list I have his first name, code word and wether I would recommend him or not, if not why and I use an E or R next to that to know how he was originally verified.  I also note things like habitual tardiness etc...it is ALL in code so that mostly only I can understand it lol

If something were to ever go wrong (god forbid) that list would be worthless to anyone that gets their hands on it since a list of Teds Golfer8818 in Minneapolis means nothing.  Whenever the gent schedules again, he must give me a contact number since I don't keep them.

A simple yes I have seen him and he was on time, courteous respectful etc should be sufficient.  I can't speak for all ladies but I primarily want to know that I am safe and that he isn't going to pose any danger to me.  Cleanliness is a must too.

I would just confirm wether you have seen him or not....confirming phone numbers and such isn't necessary.  

Stay safe, references are a wonderful tool, alot of us would be lost without ladies giving them out.
