Understand we all started out in the same boat. There are many ways to go and you have to find the best way for yourself. What may have worked for one person, you may not be comfortable with. A client may be accepted by one provider and a different client with what would seem as the same set of circumstances may not be seen. Don't take it personal.

As far as good leads - that is soooooooo subjective. What may be great for one would only be adequate for others. What are you looking for and how long do you want to spend?  Like the rest of us -  you have to read the reviews, read other reviews by the same person to see if every review is the same and then you have to make a judgement call.

I typically try to schedule as far in advance as I can. For the most part this has worked well. I have also had some providers forget about the appointment or cancel. The highest rated providers will probably be very busy and appreciate any advance scheduling - others my not like to schedule too far out.

I don't think I am a veteran (less then 1 year) but I have found what some providers like in scheduling others do not. The best advise I can give you, just try to be myself and work with what you are comfortable doing. If I can't get the first provider, I try a different one that I want to see. If I can't get schedule any of the ones, I won't schedule any just to get off. Having had great and bad experiences, I know the great ones are out thier and won't spend the time and money if there is the chance of a bad time. I guess what I am trying to say is - there are great ladies out there that will work with you. There are also many out there that will get you off, but there can be sooooooo much more then just that. Don't settle!!!

Hope this helps - and welcome!!!

I am going to have some time around February 20-21 where I can see a provider for the first time.  Is it too early to start setting it up? Are does anyone have any leads on a good provider?  Should I wat to see if anyone might be offer some sort of special around then?  I see special pop up every so ofton.  I would love advice.

Here are my 2 cents worth:
-It never hurts to schedule ahead of time, that way you get the time you want and the day you want.  Some people prefer early appointments, others late day.  Some people will tell you to see a provider early in the day before she gets tired from all the days activities.  It may also be a good idea to pick a weekday, as weekends tend to be a very busy time for most providers.  I personally like schedule at least a week in advance so that there is time to get our schedules to mesh.
-Your next problem will probably be finding a quality local provider that doesn't require a reference.  There are are some good providers out there who will see you without a reference but be careful, becuase you may not need a reference but will also not get the service you expect.  A solution to this problem would be seeing on of the many traveling independents who frequent our lovely City.  If you treat them right and are a gentleman and ask nicely they would probably be more than happy to give you a reference.

Hopefully this wasn't too long winded and helps you with some of your concerns.  I know these were problems I had when I first started here.  Good luck.
