Ok, I am back on my soap box again. Here is another example of a hot lady that is new to Mpls area, no reviews or proven track record but yet asks an above average price point.
Now I do not want to start the price point thread again but am I missing something or...??
We are scaring away ladies from this board with the constant harangue on price. We are not talking about impersonal widgets. A girl will almost allways be offended if you tell them they are not worth it. Experience will teach them that if their price is to high they will not have enough bussiness.
I have been told by a number of providers that they will not see ter members. Is that illogical? Yes, but also pridictable.
the ladies that have been scarred off so we can invite them back?Can you name the provider's that won't see TER members so I don't let it slip sometime that I am a member? I feel bad that all these provider's are making this business sacrifice because of the commerce related price points?
But I wouldn't use the term "scared" with either one of these
ladies. They simply took their business elsewhere.

Gosh, and we survived! For those new and those that forgot and are disappointed they never get anything positive from frankie, he or she has stated in the past that he or she is neither a provider or hobbyist, so what positive information can he or she contribute?
I don't recall ever stating whether I was or was not a provider
or a hobbyist. Do you have a link?
Also, supplying an answer to a question is positive - you asked
and I answered. I can't help that the question by it's very
nature requires an answer that is not positive.

Unfortunately, I have heard that same comment from a few travelling providers that have visited from solid quality agencys. I think you pay for whatever your flavor of the moment calls for and if there is a provider that asks for more than what you feel is appropriate, well hell....don't call her up. I don't understand the constant bitching about price points....if you can't afford it, then don't do it.
I'd like to see some of the top girls from the various agencys visit Mpls and I would pay their asking price without hesitation; whatever that may be. I would be hugely disappointed if they chose not to travel here because of the perceived "complaints" about their fees.
I agree sin-tex..... it is a free market for providers. This topic has definitely been overly hashed and re-hashed. Lets move on and leave it be.

It is not that I am too cheap or can not afford to spend that rate. I choose not to. At the same time my point that I keep trying to make is that I have not run accross too many hobbyisty that have an unlimted Provider budget...me included!
I look back over the past few years and see how the rates have increased rapidly compared to other cites as Omega Zap pointed out awhile back. As the price continues to rise...the number of ladies we can see will drop.
I for one don't have any issue with cost of living increases when they are from a provider with a PROVEN track record and many reviews to back it up. For someone to come out fresh out of the box at that high rate...it is out of line.
Yes, the free market system should take care of it but when you have a number of hobbyist that take their one or two/times per month shot at goal on a higher price lady...just makes it easier for them to stay there and continue to go up.
We it get. We get it several time a week. Most of us (myself included) even agree with you. The question is: Is it possible for a lady to post an ad asking for more than your subjective price and not have you comment? There is a difference between constructive critisizism and info and a nag. It has nothing to do with whether you may or may not be cheep. By the way I have a tighter budget than you and am notoriously cheep. (i.e.. I don't have a vip membership) I too have witnessed a double and tripling of prices for the same service in a decade. We now have all this consumer info that we did not have a decade ago and the prices still goes up. Has your comments stopped the prices from going up? I don't believe in offending a girl just to piss into the wind. Keep the price discussion going just tone it down a bit please.

TER should allow us to band together as consumers, in order to keep the pricing reasonable.
Personally, I flat out refuse to see providers who price themselves above $$$. Do I feel I am missing out? Not really, though everytime some sucker with a pocketfull of cash pays some new provider with limited skills and service $$$ 1/2 or more for an hour, I do feel it hurts the monger community.
I, for one, am glad that this is brought up from time to time. So the topic frustrates a few providers? I find 350/hour to be a pretty frustrating concept.

Why is $$$ the magical cutpoint that should apply to everyone? Is it possible that someone might refuse to pay above $250? $275$ $225$ If I "flat out refuse" to pay above $275 should I start regualrly posting about providers who charge $$$ or more? Should $$$ be a "pretty frustrating concept?"
You're not missing anything but there is nothing you can do except pay the rate or not call. The ladies are going to charge whatever they want; it's 100% their decision. If they are happy with the business they get then they will keep their prices or even raise them; if not, they will lower them or do something else. All we can do is keep each other informed about what the various ladies charge and what services they provide. That's what TER is for I believe. It's frustrating to see all these high prices but I simply have to take a pass if it's more than I'm willing to spend.

What's this site for if it's not for discussing the positive and negitives of this so called hobby? I appreciate the cost disscussion, I believe that the costs are out of hand. I don't really think it's the magic 300 number that is the problem, the top providers are difinately worth it, but the problem is that every girl thinks their services are worth that amount, no matter how few or poor the reviews, or what kind of service they provide. Why does everybody get bent out of shape when this topic comes up? Isn't everyone after the best value when purchasing goods or services? Do you automaticly pay the asking price, assuming that it must be right if that's what they are asking? Do you actually pay the price on the sticker of a new car because that what it says.
I've been told by a few Florida travellers that the reason they travel is that there is so much competition in Florida they can't earn a decent rate, competition is good for the hobbist. I'm not saying we need to take advantage of the providers, but we need to make sure that we are not being taken advantage of.

Will everybody just shutup. Do you think rehashing this on here does anything. It's simple supply and demand. There's nothing we can do about it unless we refuse to pay. Which is totally based on the provider and how she appeals to you and what she provides. I want cheaper too, but were the ones shelling out the bucks!

Before I started lurking? Burned more times than I'd like to remember. The ugly cost of engaging in a lousy business/hobby, I thought at the time.
Since I started lurking here and scanning reviews? Way more hits than misses. Whoah! This craziness is actually fun sometimes! I hope we perpetually debate here the going rate and its quality.
P.S. I also hope we quit getting bogus 8-plus reviews for providers that are NOT 8-plus in performance. But I guess the fact that those get posted is free market capitalism too.....
Its not often I would be in agreement with MDL, but I think he's got a point. I think its healthy to speak up for the hobbyist point of view. This is after all a DISCUSSION board to serve hobbyists. Lets have a voice. Yeah -its a free market, but its a supply side market unfortunately.
I have seen a couple of really nice providers who have told me that they are afraid to reduce their "public" rates below the $$$ level for fear of affecting their image. They don't want to be perceived as being inferior or less desirable. These same ladies also wished that the "market" rates were lower so they would get more business. A couple of them have offered me lower rates for repeat visits but also asked me to keep it a secret.
Roxanne is looking fine to me... I think maybe we should start a NEW TREND. For these new HOT WOMEN that are VIRGIN territory they should be getting premium rates.. because as we know after the escorts have been on this board for pages and pages of reviews.. I think their perceived value in my book is getting to the point of they need to pay me to do them.. this stud needs some new blood .. so bring on the new talent.
