Agreed.  I highly encourage all hobbyist to get a prepaid.  Most providers don't care about it being a trac phone (hell, most can't even tell :).

Unless you know the girl well, there should be NO reason for her to call unless it's to say that she is running late etc.  (and it's always smart to ask if you can leave a message since some guys have assistants).

But, since it has come down to a lack of professionalism and discretion seems to be used less and less, a trac phone is the ONLY way to go.

Please keep in mind that while not all have a blatant disregard for our clients you can never be too careful.  Use an anonymizer a trac phone and whatever else you need not to get caught with your hands in the cookie jar lol.
Happy hobbying :)~

I have been using pre-paid phones for this hobby for a long time - it's cheap and simple. I also change out my phones every so often to get fresh phone numbers and keep myself "anonimous" as I go about my hobby - Girls talk to each other and I don't want to find myself "triangulated" and my cover blown by girls saving my numbers and comparing notes ........ call me crazy but I've been in this hobby since 1989, pissed off more than a few people, had some "other" close-calls and I've never had any "strange envelopes" show up at my front door.... (I have had some "strange" or "threatening" messages left on my Go-Phone though!)

-- I prefer this phone called the "shorty" It's only $39 and comes with 10 minutes of talk-time right on it! they can be bought at Best-Buy and target among other places....

-- I choose the "Minute2Minute" plan - It's $.25 per minute flat rate - no other costs. activation lasts 90 days, if you want to keep the same Ph# for longer than that, you will need to "top-up" you account before the 90 days is up.

- "Top-up cards" is how you buy your minutes, I buy $20 cards only and always keep a spare on hand.I don't ever put more than $20 an the phone at a time - if I want to "ditch" the phone, I'm not out much,,, besides 100 minutes can set-up ALOT of dates! LOL! - DON'T add minutes to your phone ANY OTHER WAY! Only use top-up cards! available same place you find the phones.

-- When you do your online activation of your phone (on the web-site below) Personal information is "optional" (I just make some shit up!) But use a zip-code that is from the area you want your Prefix from - I use 55401, I get a "612" prefix every time.

- you will need a secure email account to recieve your activation code - I prefer hushmail.com But whatever your comfortable with...

-- that's it! I go into the store, grab a phone and 2 top-up $20 cards and my bill is $90 and change.... and I'm talking to a young hottie in less than 20 minutes! (that's only a dollar a day if I throw out the phone every 90 days! CHEAP insurance if you ask me!)

I bought my phone at a T-Mobile booth, I'm not sure if I was just lucky or if it is the norm for them. He asked me for my name and address but didn't ask to see my id. So go prepared with a name and a fake address and home phone number and there isn't anyway for anyone to track the phone to you. Then to add minutes I just buy the cards at Wal-Mart and activate the minutes over the phone.

I can not tell you how important this is!!! Don't screw around here with personal cell phones. It is a very unwise move.

If you're using online activation for the phone, you might want to consider using a web anonymizer, public library, or otherwise non-home ip address.

You never can be too paranoid, after all.

Libraries ARE Government owned - What if they're tracking the information that is logged in and putting it in the secret super-computer that tracks our every move! - besides Librarians are "agents of the state", they could be part of the whole plan to expose me and bring me down...... What if they can scan my brain-waves! They would know WHY I was there BEFORE I even sat down at the computer!  Nope! I'm much safer here in my underground concrete bunker lined with tin-foil, continually logging on through random open networks without WEP codes .........

Is that a helicopter outside? I hear it, but I can't see anything,,, hmmm....
