I have heard through the “grapevine” that channel 9’s crime reporter Tom L is working hard on the Vikings “incident”. I know that some of you ladies might remember him and have some unfavorable feelings about him…because of what has happened in the past.

I guess the ladies that came to town stayed at a hotel in Eden Prairie, and were opening their mouths waaaayyyy too much. My thought is that these ladies are not very bright, because “loose lips sink ships”. Here is a little tidbit that is ironic. The hotel where they stayed at was near the Vikings and also near Culpepper’s place.

As someone who doesn't watch TV news, what happened in the past for which he was responsible?

About 5 years back, a local body painting place allowed an interview after Tom's repeated requests to help us "set things straight".  They came, spent over three hours getting body painted, having coctails, smoking cigars, interviewing to get our side of the story, etc.  When the report aired, they had none of the audio, Tom kept repeating the "P" word over and over again, and they showed mugshots of some of us who were involved in a bust - those who were first offenders. (Mind you, when it went to court, none of us were actually found guitly of the "p" word.)

After that aired, and family and friends saw the report, a lot of of quit the place.  I personally vowed to boycott Channel 9 until they get rid of Tom Lydon.  For over 5 years I have stuck by my boycott.  You can certainly expect Tom's report on this matter to be one-sided, uncaring of who he hurts, and all his own opinion.

When are the video's of the party going to surface? A large percentage those guys are party animals and videotaping was probably done without any thought..

Now if one of those tapes gets loose.. could do a number on one's career..

I definitely agree with you and more. All they are concerned about are the ratings. Not the truth.
I forget the name of the body painting studio you are referring to? There was one which I think was an off shoot from "Night Lights"? Correct if I am wrong/and or set the record straight. Thanks.

To hell with Tom Lydon. But, forgive me:

Why on EARTH did anyone from the body-painting place CONSENT to an interview (especially if it was the place I think it was, north of downtown).

It's unfortunate for those who got hurt, but I think that place was the final gasp of the storefront provider service - even though it was very well hidden.

Sounds like a story from a (sadly) bygone era.
