yes...  here in MN (when I was a kid) we called it an  across-the-back, over-the-shoulder boulder holder.  Too funny.

I, too, was a Marine....   ooooRAH!

Today, March 28th, is National Something on a Stick Day.    What is your favorite thing on a stick

My Dad was a Marine, "dick on a stick" was a corn dog.  Thanks Belinda for the smile!  I miss my Dad.  This Brings back wonderful memories before I lay my head tonight I will remember him.

A Bra was a flop-er stopper & my nose was a snot locker.....

My dad was in the Army and I have no idea if this is affiliated to the Army or not, but it just brought me back a few or 30 years ago.

A bra in our part of the country was an "over the shoulder bolder holder".

Memories....Thanks Bel & Mel! *Giggle*

Happy Easter!

Hugs,
JD

Pronto Pup, Corn Dog, and their progeny, fave item on a stick.
If we're talking about my stick, my fave thing on my stick would be Melissa... or Trinity.....or Poppy....Sheila?  Sure.  Possibly Claire.... or Sam..... or Francesca......Wendy too!  Lots of good things have been on my stick.....Thanks again!!

Now I just need a volunteer for the photo.

PM me if interested.

From the Museum of Menstruation & Women's Health. One of the benefits of the wooden stick applicator is that it was biodegradable and more ecologically friendly than the later plastic applicators. And, a thrifty elementary school teacher could save the sticks for later use in Arts & Crafts!
You're welcome!  'Sticks  ;)  :D
