Actually the answer to ALL questions is "consult my lawyer."

I am always paranoid about getting busted and losing my car.

Yesterday I had keys to another car on me, so I locked all of the keys in my car and then used an app on my phone to unlock the car when I was done.

Anyone else do this?  I am assuming that if I have no keys on me, the cops can't take my car, but I could be wrong.

Would parking a few blocks away solve this issue?

Then by law they will need to impound that instead ;)

That is my plan.  They can pull up all the vehicles I own, but they will have a hard time proving I drove if I don't have keys.

Or maybe not, but it also allows me to lock more in the car before I go in.

Going on a car date if your that paranoid then. Rent one of the city bikes , go free balling

Just to clarify, I don't do car dates.  I do incall, but I had heard that some cops grab the car when a guy is busted.

I assumed any bust would qualify, not just a car date.

I can guarantee you that one of the questions if you get into that situation, will be “how did you get there”. It really might matter if your vehicle is impounded if you are arrested.

I walked here…

Very true, I use to have what I called a fire car (hobby), somehow the back seat started on fire. It had a black/ gray interior after that…with that hint of burned chemicals LOL

Yes they can and do take your car. Be careful or drive a junker.

The correct answer to that question  is "I have nothing to say"

...I'd consider Lyft or Uber to an incall date even tho I realize that would leave a digital trail.
