hey guys, just starting into the hobby, but i was wondering how much do you tip?  Is it restaurant style, less, what are ranges.  I've been tipping like 10-20 bucks on hour massage.  Is that about right?  low?  Any help greatly appreciated

Many use the rule of $40.
HJ - $40.00
(BB)BJ - $80.00
FS - $120.00

You can do what you want. I have always gotten what I wanted at these price points and sometimes less. There are also places that will provide the full experience for a large flat fee and I do not tip. If all you got was a massage, and it was good, then I tip $20. If I find out it has no HE or DIY (same thing in my book) $0. I never tip at a cafeteria. :-)

Please no PMs. I am no longer VIP.

good answer jc......i agree with the menu you have given but to expand on that if i go to an establishment that has a house price just to get in the door ie 60.00 at typical AMP then the rule above applies but if you go to an independent that already charges 160.00 then it better be a damn awesome massage or the service needs to be over the top to give an extra tip....... maybe i am cheap but i always offer some kind of exchange so the ladies also gets pampered and i do get invited back YMMV......now granted this discussion is for the massage ladies not those escort beauties.........big difference if you throw in GFE in my book, you pay for that !!!!!!!!

jc ....just write a review!

When I go for my spa massage which often costs just as much as what you guys pay for one of mine or another lady's  services, Independent or not I tip an automatic 20%
But I agree with JC, The rule of 40's tends to be the standard.

i understand where you are coming from and not to be obtuse but if you would be so kind please explain more on your thoughts as a therapist that offers the stellar services with varying techniques........i guess i just assumed that that was built into their price.......but educate me so that when i am leaving a session with someone i am not having them feel that they were just ripped off by me.
If i go to my spa massage, like an Aveda for example i may pay 60.00 for an average to great massage and then i know that a 20 % tip is appropriate just like if i am getting my haircut or food served to me.
If i go to a massage parlour paying 80.00 for the entry fee and get a clothed or topless lack luster DIY session i may not be so inclined to pay a 20% tip but i know they do not make much over the house fee so i will always give something for their time no matter how crappy and just maybe never return cuz then it was just "my bad" for choosing their service in the first place.
But again correct me if i am wrong on this one .....if I am paying 160.00 and up, I have been assuming that the tip has been built in to that service (thus the price point) and even though i may tip because the session was over the top and would hope to be invited back.....i should not have to feel badly if i do not.
I appreciate your opinion as a massage provider and i am sincerely asking to make sure that my behavior in the future reflects the opinion of providers like yourself, that i do not want to offend by my cheap or just plain ignorant behavior......and i would assume i am not the only client that needs to hear and be clear on this ...thanks

Well, not sure if it qualifies as diy.  I got a kind of shitty massage, but she lubed up and did a great b2b with great dfk.  Really got me going.  Price was 160, at a place where lots of providers are.  Was an hour.  I really like this provider, but only had 10.00 on me after the 160.  I plan on making up for the shitty tip.  But 160 seems like a lot, no? Also, if she doesn't touch my guy with her hand, is that considered diy?  Thanks for everyones input.

No that qualifies as a shitty attempt to keep things "legal" lmao!
Half ass massage = no to barely a tip. I wouldn't try to make up for anything.

I was going to reply to both those comments.
As far as tipping goes: re-edit.
AMP's prices listed above are what guys consider the norm, so just go with that.

DIY girls, relatively new biz profile, but I'm guessing she has to give up 50/60% of her $140-$200 to the scheduler for advertising, pics  & plus monies for room rental, linens & lotion. I DO NOT know how DIY'ers operate but that would be my guess as to how the pay rate might go. I'm sure Trinity can give more insight as she is helping train these girls.

Independent massage providers, well their rate should already be tip included. Like someone else stated if she goes beyond her normal menu & gives u more than u expect or the massage is spectacular then a $40-$100 tip would show her that you love her skills, appreciate her opening her menu for YOU & most likely plan on coming back.
I could go on but I have to get ready for a date.

Jae

Woz, for $160 you should expect a good massage with a very happy ending. There are many
wonderful ladies that will provide for that price point. Chalk it up to a learning experience, but don't
do it again!
