In response to your post, all I have to say is that my nephew is in Afghanistan right now as a roof gunner in a hum-vee on continuous convoy escort duty, and I wonder what he would think about your dilemma?  Life is all about perspective I guess?
Um... I'd never try to compare anything in my life to the hell one of our servicemen is experiencing over there. A good friend of mine lost her son  in Afganistan last week.
Why you would choose to mention that in this context is kind of beyond me though. Nothing here compares...why bring that up here???

Right up front, yes, I should have known better.  Classic case of wishful thinking, but she's just SO my type:0 Has that Denise Richards look...!
   But yes, she stood me up...again. It happened around Christmas, to a couple of us as i remember, but it's been months...
So last friday she was back up north..what could i do?? Maybe she'd changed, right??
Well, I got her on the phone around 10 a.m., set up a mid-afternoon meet ( I got the room)  then...you guessed it, nothing. Nada. No answer to a few calls, no call back. No answer to 2 (polite) e-mails since then, no answer on the phone. sigh...
Heres the thing...I've been polite with her in every contact, she's been nice on the phone, no issues at all that I can tell. Heck, she even remembered me from Christmas time and seemed anxious to finally get together.  
  Next time she's up north I'm sure it'll work out. Some guys never learn:)

You could maybe offer some constructive criticism or sympathy, instead of hitting him over the head with irrelevant personal information. People don't contribute to forums, especially this forum, to be talked down to like that.

Well put, quoderat.  Snow, we are very sympathetic to your nephew's plight and I'm sure most of us are very thankful for his service to our country.  I certainly am.  One of my good friends is in Iraq right now and another good friend was severely wounded and almost died in Iraq.  

However, I read freefallin's post not just as a comment to Nichole's flakiness, but also an amusing self-directed slam to himself for being such a dipshit.  We can all relate to our failures in some of the more simple aspects to this hobby when we let the little guy do the talking.  Unfortunately, you let his amusing post be an opportunity to vent some personal frustration regarding your nephew.  You need to reevaluate yourself, your motives, and your tact.

Ok,  I understand about getting stood up - who couldn't have a NCNS happen to them?   And, I can evern see it happening more than once with a provider you'd really like to see.  But does anyone get the room prior to the engagement?  I mean, I usually prefer incall but if I were to host, I'd certainly wait to see the whites of her eyes before actually checking in.   Other than freefallin, do you guys do that?  

Not being critical - it's your money freefallin - but just wondering if the next time I host I'd be expected to have the room taken care of prior to arrival.

  Actually, I think thats the first time I've done that too. More stupid for sure. And...THAT I won't do again.   Nichole, on the other hand....who knows??

BTW, I never check-in to a room until the provider arrives (for new ones) or is on the way (for those I've seen before).

I'm jealous IDM....which is why I'm too dumb to give up on her:)
I assume we're talking about the same Nichole...her reviews can be found by looking under Miami, right?
And yes, I was certainly making fun of myself, with a little poke at Nichole as well for being a flake.

Yes thats the right Nicole.I have seen her many times in Duluth.Shes always on time and will rock your world. She is the real deal.
