It's a little chillier in the winter, but it's worth it. I just tell my wife it makes me feel a little sexier and she likes it, too. Plus, even though our appointments are transactions, we don't have to go out of our way to challenge providers' tastes or comfort. They like a trimmed man. Well, I like the hobby, so I do it.

Nothing special or fancy about them and they cost as much as an electric shaver does.

Manscaping is always nice to do for a lady friend or SO.  It's not for everyone, but most men do prefer it.  I would suggest a comb & scissors to trim the hair short if you hesitant about shaving.  Once you get comfortable with that you can always try shaving. If you search here, you will find several threads with shaving preferences or suggestions from the guys.  Or you can do a Male Brazilian Wax.  I have a LOT of guys that come in for Male Brazilian Wax.  I had 3 clients today that came in for brazilian waxing and one guy also got a back wax.  I will admit, waxing that area is not a walk in the park, but if you find a good waxer you will be very happy with the results.
My prerference is shaving or waxing. I like it smooth
