massage provider gave me a good chuckle, but also made me wonder somethings

I recently saw a massage provider who gave the option of table massage or futon (on floor).  I chose the futon and she started chuckling.  I asked why.  She explained that the only reason she got the futon is for her obese clients who can barely get up on the table (I'm of a healthy weight/body type).  I just prefer the futon because it is usually better for straddling, romping, spooning, etc.

But it got me thinking....what percent of hobbyists in MN are really that obese?  I don't think I'd have the self esteem to hobby unless I had some self confidence in my physique.  I guess these guys just move beyond the confidence issue?  Maybe the heavier guys prefer massage service instead of full service for that very reason.  It is much easier to lay there on a futon and be taken care of than have to exert yourself and "perform" sex acts.

I have heard ladies say it's a 50/50 shot and one guy almost broke her massage table. IMO, she's smart for having the option.

A couple of years ago, I had a client brake my table. Luckily the week before I had ordered a new table that was extra wide+holds 800 lbs. But I still had to work with the broken table for 2 days.

OMG that would be so embarrassing.   I hope you were gracious about  it.  If you are skilled at empathy you would have found a way to finish the session to his satisfaction.  On the other hand, did you issue an invoice for the cost of the table (those things aren't cheap)?!

The session was over so I didn't have to worry about continuing on a broken table.
I told him to take his time getting dressed. As I walked away I heard a loud crack. I walked back into the room & he just looked at me. I asked if he was ok, he said yes, so I walked out again & let him get dressed.
My new table was going to be delivered in 2 days so I didn't have to ask for money to replace the table.

I did see him a couple of months later. He loved my new table because it was extra wide. So he didn't have to worry about possibly falling off when he flipped over lol.

This is why bbbj, fs and all that other good stuff from a massage girl is definitely YMMV and probably why most massage girls last about 6 months or shorter.

I am an extremely obese person. I HATE using futons because it's so hard to get up off of the floor. If the futon is on a raised platform, that works for me. When booking an appointment, I always let the provider know my size and give her an out. I've had 3 ladies decline, and 2 I wish had declined since they couldn't stop commenting on my size (of my body) once I had arrived. The 3 who declined I respect. The other 2 embarrased me and I will never see again.

Thanks for the honest reply.  I can be kind of crass, but I am sensitive to body issues.  I don't know your age, genetics, or mental health status but could you lose the weight?  If you're employed with insurance you could consult about bariatric surgery or similar.  

Anyhow, I hope you find a provider you can click with.  Maybe post on here looking for someone comfortable with your body size (or she can even reply in this thread).  I'm sure there are some out there that even enjoy it.  Are you into BBW providers?  They might be a good choice to contact.  Hope you get some happy hobbying soon!

Can you clarify what providers  you see most often. Body rub / massage or escorts?

 
Keep your chin up dude. Hopefully you have  found some to keep in rotation . Like minded providers can be helpful to you. If you have a good relationship with those  that accept you as you are , maybe tactfully ask if they may recommend others providers  that would be willing to meet you, without judgement.    Don't  know your situation , but is outcall to you an option? Might put you more at ease and accomodate better.    

The only caution is don't  become  an easy mark,  make sure you know its safe . Find the right person for you before  setting appointment.  

Keep doing what you are doing , with being honest in your communications  .   Go outside of our board  , the General Board has alot of helpful providers that  most likely have some advice that may be helpful.
