Well put.   I must concur with your assessment.
Let's hope they learned from this.

I'm going to assume that the previous post someone did about this will have disappeared into the moderated zone because it had names.

Four people were arrested after a recent prostitution sting in Rochester.
The woman arrested was from Milwaukee.
A man from Lawler, IA was also arrested.
Two unnamed men from Rochester were also arrested.

If you Google the subject line of this post, the articles will appear in the search.

Here are two Rochester news sources-

A Tale from Duluth...

Two young girls (18/19) decide to post an escort ad on BP Duluth.

According to the criminal complaint:
A Duluth police sergeant working undercover posed as a customer looking for prostitution services in the area. He found an ad on BP and called the number. Through a series of text messages, the officer arranged a meeting at the Superior hotel.
He met a girl and entered the hotel room with her. She agreed to perform a sex act for $200 and told him to get naked. When he started walking toward the door instead, another girl emerged from the bathroom and told him: “Give me the money.” She tried to block him from leaving the room. When he pushed past her, she reached for a gun in the waistband of her pants. The officer punched her and ran out into the hall, and the team backing him arrested the women.
She told officers they came up with the plan to get money for rent. She said the undercover police officer was the first person to come to the hotel to meet with them.
The gun used was an unloaded BB pistol.

I read about this one this morining - would have been a bad situation to walk into.

It's lucky no one got shot. So now they get arrested for armed robbery?

Both are charged with a felony armed robbery & misdemeanor prostitution.
There's so many things that could have gone wrong with their stupid idea. Personally, I am glad their first "client" was le. They got what they deserved for trying to pull off such an insane idea. The "gun" was actually one of those bb guns.

Well put.   I must concur with your assessment.
Let's hope they learned from this.

There could have been numerous ways that stupid idea could have played out, none of them good. I think those two are lucky he was a cop.
