Yeah, I'm learning: The hobby attracts ALL types!  Good AND bad.  Which is too bad...as you say: the baddies (both hobbyists and providers) ruin it for the rest!  :(

A lengthy thread below deals with when a session should end, and who should end it...with a short sub-thread about starting times.  I had a recent experience overseas where a lady's Web site made very clear that, for first dates, she requires that they meet in a public place--hotel bar, etc.--for a half-hour get-to-know-you time.  This half hour is OFF the clock.  It's just her way of screening. and either party is free to call off the date if s/he feels uncomfortable, with no recriminations.

So, I contacted her prior to my trip and we set something up.  Interesting irony: She was a half hour late herself (traffic).  But, I waited, and, when she arrived, we ordered drinks.  By the end of 15 minutes, she was comfortable enough with me that we left right then to go up to my room, and we had a great three-hour session.

I know that, as some have said, in the U.S., many (most?) providers' Web sites insist that the money is for time spent, so this lady's method would not work too well.  But, it worked for her...and, I wonder, is it something that might work here?

Just wondering.........

Some are fine with that approach; some won't go for it, and some expect to be compensated for that time.

The provider comes to the door on time, in street clothes, then goes into the bathroom and changes into work clothes.Sometimes takes 10-15 minutes (or so it seems). Does the session start when she enters the room, or when she comes out in costume?

10-15 min of preparation is probably the limit I would accept on-the-clock.  Hopefully it pays off for the remaining time in performance level vs clock time.

Its not as unusual as you might think, although the trend seems to be for a compensated one.  Turn the clock back a few years and it was pretty unusual for a provider to expect it to be compensated.  Most viewed it as a marketing and screening method.  As a hobbyist who enjoys the TOFTT pursuit of new talent, its a great way to see if the photos are real and if the attitude represents a GFE in the making..

when you poen the door ...but if you the provider wants to be chatty I always let them know we are not on the clock  to make them know I am not trying to run the clock out.....somethimes you just have time to talk and enjoy the conversation and if I have time why not ? beats being alone....especailly when its slow and the conversation is good...

What I wonder is what country were you in? Were you in a place where the laws are lax? Or maybe the gents have lots of respect for a lady's time?

Sadly, us ladies often have to deal with tire kickers and it's a sad waste of time, especially when I don't have time to waste. I think that is a lot of the reason ladies don't offer something like that here. It's not a good business model for me to spend 1.5 hrs getting ready for a date that might not happen. We have websites and reviews to help gents figure out if we are the femme fatale they desire. It's not fool proof, but it seems to work out great, IMHO.

She is in Hungary (Budapest).  I posted a review for her, if you're interested.  Her clientele seems to be more Hungarian men than anything else (see the comments on her Web site; URL below).  Another lady I saw in Budapest only sees NON-Hungarians...so, go figure.  I'm guessing that there might not be as many tire-kickers there as here.  The laws in Hungary must be more lax, as this statement appears on her home page: "I work as a sexpartner, providing men with erotic services."

I think you might be right on all accounts. I have never been to Hungary so I wouldn't know first hand, but she also lists explicit services. It's too bad there are enough gents with less than honorable intentions, which in turn ruins it for the good ones. At least that is how it is here in the states.
