I suppose I'll assume that the post was an attempt at humor.

IMO... not so funny, because the real issue is serious.

Elderly people and people with disabilities who require day-to-day assistance to stay independent and in their own homes (versus nursing homes) are at-risk of losing their personal care assistants ("providers") as a result of the state budget fiasco.

Grow some balls and a sense of humor. Take it as it is, a joke.

Which is worse - mounting, or dismounting problems?

It's the one instance in our society where one (person or group of people) can harm another (person or group of people) without any legal recourse. They knew where this was leading and they went there anyway.

Watch a judge step in and order everyone back to work. Then order mediation.

I am an experienced PCA who has been interviewing for PT positions for the past two weeks. Hiring has been on hold due to the fact that background checks could not be run. Thankfully, a judge ruled today that background checks can once again commence.

With that being said, I still thought the post was humorous.

There are limits to what judges can do and I doubt very much they can order the governor and the legislature to use a mediator.  Separation of powers you know.
