That's a very good example!  On the other hand, when an issue is raised that you know nothing about, you might say "I don't know."  That works too.

From time to time, there have been threads discussing the posting of meaningless comments on this board.  I'm sure we all can think of examples.

There is a thread currently running with a meaningless comment that is my new favorite.  In response to an inquiry about an unreviewed provider, there is a response posted by a hobbyist, with one review posted, that was done in 2003, in Indiana.  

The hobbyist claimed to have seen the provider in question and the sum total of his report was "Thumbs down - better out there for the money."  

Among the multitude of available providers, wouldn't there ALWAYS be someone "better out there for the money" than any provider in any price range?  Most of us don't have the time, money or inclination to sort through every provider that is available in our price range.  That's why people ask for advice and direction.  That's why TER exists!
