Last night I was at one of my favorites strip clubs here in the Twin Cities talking to the manager.  He told me he thought business was way down (maybe 30 to 40%) from 4 years ago.  Fewer girls working in the club also.

I have also noticed this at other local clubs.  Way fewer patrons as well - I geuss when "disposable income" goes away things related to this hobby also go away.

Like most of us, I enjoy clubs but I have a real hard time shelling out 20 bucks for a no-touch 2 minute lap dance.  I enjoy this hobby much more.

After talking to the manager (seemed like a great guy) a while he gave me 4 free passes for later on.  I am sure this was his way to get more people in his club.

So why haven't the gift/donations reflected the economy?

Some astute gals have recognized it....most others haven't.

I think the gals who have reduced their fee because of the economy will get more regulars and have a much larger fan club when this ends. Anyway I feel that way and I am one of the 18%

A lot of providers don't need to see every client out there.  If a provider has a one or two regular clients who book multiple hours, that alone could be enough for her.  Even with a recession going on, if half of the clients are still spending the same amount of money (which is what that poll indicates), that is enough to sustain a lot of the providers.
