Plugs - Reviews???

Scratching my head......What is it with all the new posts being started with plugs - mini ads for providers?? I can understand if they are in response to a 411 or posted on a thread to a providers post but to start a new message as a plug - review? Shouldn't this be kept to reviews instead of posted on the discussion board?

A visiting lady will be home from her tour by the time a review gets posted.  Information about local ladies is not as time sensitive.

If you're referring to my post below, the answer is simple.  The provider is in town for only a couple of days.  She will be gone before a full review would be posted.  I was trying to share information that I thought would be of interest to some hobbyists while there was time for them to act on it.  I see that as an entirely appropriate use of this forum.

you have the right to not read them.

I agree with the StillNHiding.  Plug - Mini review same difference

I believe most traveling ladies should and do give enough notice for TER members to know when they will be in town & for how long.  If the lady is not a TER member then it should be considered an AD especially if he is linking her website to his post.

I believe every provider (whether traveling or local) knows the timeframe to post an AD to get the most appts. If she is not planning an advance, she shouldn't expect a TER member to post a mini ad in hopes of getting appts.

I believe mini reviews are a disservice to other providers on this board who do plan, execute & write their ADS with enough notice for gentlemen to contact them.

As for "the lady being back home before the review is written" your probably right as most traveling ladies are only in town for a few days.

Mini reviews have nothing to do with the timeliness of a visiting provider's ad and everything to do with local feedback prior to a review being posted.

Moderators do try to filter local ladies from visitors but we are not familiar with every lady on the local boards and we sometimes make mistakes. When that happens we often get help from a local lady dropping a dime on them.

Bottom line, we do our best to be fair to everyone. We nearly always fall short, but we do try.

I appreciate everyone's patience and support.

:) Good Morning Puck, I think you misread my point. I know mini reviews don't have anything to do with visiting provider's ads.  Just saying most traveling ladies know when to post ads to generate the most interest before their arrival, not that the mini review replaces an ad.

I think local feedback is great, that's what has kept me busy :D

I can understand how difficult it can be to moderate a website, BTW do you guys get paid to do this? Just wondering :)
