It all depends on what you're looking for. A 5 star hotel or a 3 star hotel.

A lot of providers use downtown Minneapolis hotels. Although there are many very nice hotels in downtown Minneapolis, with that comes the parking problem. Parking is not always available or convenient. I would suggest a nice hotel in the west or northern suburbs. Parking is convenient and there are many very nice hotels to choose from. But, I would caution you to stay away from Plymouth, Brooklyn Center and St Paul, from what I've heard. Also Bloomington along 494 has a reputation for being a bad choice as well, although I have seen quite a few providers along 494 in Bloomington in my day.... lol.

Another thought would to pm some of the providers on ter. They may have some input for you as well.

I've seen a great provider at downtown hotels twice. The best time I had with her, though, was when she was out in the suburbs for a day. Reason: parking. Downtown is such a hassle. There are great hotels there, but I've lived here all my life and it's still a pain to get to them.

My suggestion? There's a relatively new development in St. Louis Park along 394, where there are some nice places. I also met that provider at a hotel there and it was no problem at all. Good luck!

Not trying to pick a fight here... but I don't understand hobbyists' aversion to downtown because of parking. There's plenty of on-street parking for two hours at meters. And if I'm spending $300 for a session, I don't mind another $5 or $7 to park in a garage.

That said, the Highway 100 - 394 area just west of downtown is a good suggestion.

I'm thinking of the old Normandy, specifically. Nice restaurant, comfy room, and its own private parking lot.
