Of course it can be done within the rules. Something like:

"It has been reported that xxxx from Eros was busted in xxxxxxx recently. PM me for more information."

I will PM you before it goes up to get verification that it is true.

We just don't want people to find articles etc that out members trough a google search on the board here.

If there is a story in the media that outs a provider or a hobbyist - connecting their name to their  TER handles, etc - you may not post it here. You may not say where it is. You may not give hints.

Please stop outing people here. Yes, I'm sure you think I'm being silly. Yes, I'm sure you think it is terribly important that EVERYBODY on the boards has the real name, address, unblurred picture etc of someone who is already fucked - but you can't do it here.

The next one that does will be moderated for a long time. If you're already moderated, good luck getting a post approved for a long time.

Puck,

Is there a way to let hobbyists know that someone is no longer available, if one does not 'out' them.  For example, would it be wrong to post something about the fact that (insert Provider's name) has been arrested.  One does not need to give details or a link but I'd kind of like to know.

In this particular case, I had seen this particular provider and even used her as a reference.  I am glad I know both not to call her again and that she will not be a reference going forward.

Seems to me that this kind of information is important to be shared here.

Can this be done within the rules?

Understood.  Thanks for clarification.
