At times I don't have the availability to call or text a provider to try and set something up. I thought I would reach out to a few providers on BP by clicking the reply button on the ad and providing my hobby email address. Out of 4 only 1 replied after 3 days time. I am just wondering if anyone else has had luck getting a response from a provider this way or if a low response rate is expected trying to communicate this way.

BP providers work on the basis that when they post that is the time that they are available. Many of them prefer calling or texting to set up an immediate appointment. Again not always but many work this way.  Often times they will state in their ad no email. The ones that generally accept emails and future appointments are the ones that have an email address in their ad.

P ads are usually best responded to via phone. Unless they are a well established provider emails normally go unanswered.

..... many BP ads have no phone number or email. They just have a link you click to send a message to the provider (or her scheduler or gosh knows just who gets it!). If that's true for the cases the OP is talking about, it's pretty frustrating to get a response on only 1 of 4 tries. If the guy asked for a time that the provider wasn't available, she could at least reply with something like, "thanks for contacting me, I'm not available then, would another day/time work for you?" and also with a request for any info she needs e.g. references that the guy didn't provide in his initial message.

so they do not check the emails because the email adresses are not theirs. Or they strictly do not reply to emails at all because it takes up too much time. I think the ones who did not respond to the OP's emails are ones that just want an immediate response or an appointment right then. If they don't have a phone number then chances are they take the first appointment and don't look at the rest because they are done for the day. Yes it would be nice if they did respond but unfortunately that is the way of many BP providers.

I see that alot of people do email for appointments, is there a benefit to this that I am missing? I reply with my phone number but that is it.

I started out on BP so I'm a little familiar with that but I would tell you I much more prefer to get email ... it's easier to communicate with our busy schedules and if done right the email should include all needed information to start screening. Sometimes I do short notice appointments if I'm available but often times with emailing the appointments are set 1 to 2 days in advance or 1 to 2 weeks in advance. I like having an idea of my schedule for the week. it really just depends on what you prefer.

I say right in my ad to please copy and paste my email or website...hitting reply sometimes doesn't work at all
Meaning I never see it and sometimes lands in junk folder( so I see it a month later) I hate that BP has made this more difficult by not providing my email and website link right in my ad.
So there's some extra info. For ya. Have a great night... I'm sleepy ~sweet dreams =

just type in the email exactly as it is and it will automatically become highlighted and a link in your ad. That's all I did for mine and people were able to click on it an email me directly. If it doesn't work then use the thing I sent you in a PM.

Unless you are a corporation or other business they will not put a link to your website. I have contacted them and never got a response regarding this.
