Never been.....

Having lived here in MN for just under 4 yrs I've never been to the State Fair.  I hear they have great food.

I'll be there Friday!!

I always go the 1st Friday. The crowds aren't too bad and the place is still clean and green.....

Required to go

Since I was almost born at the fair I go every year to celebrate my birthday. Mom left the fair to go to the hospital to have me many years ago.  Haven't missed one yet.

I go every year.

Like Pug I've been going since I was a kid. I people watch now.  
I might watch people go on the slingshot ride if it is there.

Oh, you mean at the Fair!  :)   I love the fried pickle slices, and the shakes. And there's this one booth that has the greatest fresh brewed iced tea.

The Big E....

Out in New England we have basically one big state fair that  represents all of the New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island & Vermont) THE BIG E!!!!

My favorite foods ( I couldn't decide on just one) at the Big E were always:

International Lobster House's  -Lobster Mac & Cheese  ---almost as good as my Aunt Sandy's
Matunuck Oyster Bar's  -Chowder
West Springfield Lions Club's  -Poutine

Man now I'm super hungry!!!!!

It used to be, (in no particular order)
mini donuts,
corndogs,
footlong hotdogs,
muffin pizzas,
walleye on a stick,
Vescios pizza,
Martha's chocolate chip cookies,
fresh lemonade,
salt water taffy,
caramel apples,
and Dairy bldg shakes

Now it's just an apple from the ag building and some other fresh fruit. Then I will splurge  
and get some honey ice cream with sunflower seeds. That turkey drumstick sounds good though.
