I live downtown and I don’t have providers over for outcall.  In the past, the high end visiting providers would stay downtown Minneapolis at nice hotels and it was easy for me to visit them.  Since George Floyd, these visiting providers are all staying at dumpy hotels in Bloomington.  If they stayed at the vast amount of nice hotels in Bloomington, I would visit them but then don’t.  Anyway, I have offered multiple visiting ladies a nice downtown Minneapolis hotel incall on my dime(plus Uber rides covered both ways) and they have denied with the excuse that downtown is unsafe.  While crime numbers are up in Minneapolis, I am pretty sure a visiting escort is safe being dropped off and picked up in front of a hotel.  Am I missing something here?

I can't blame one bit.
I don't go DT anymore either. Not worth it for me. The area known as Uptown isn't exactly my cup of tea either. Much prefer the burbs. Farther away from DT the better.

I use to love going to uptown....and still do a little bit, but it has lost its fun vibe and only going during the day

My hunch is that while the providers might feel comfortable with downtown Minneapolis, they might have concerns that dudes don't want to come downtown right now.

As someone who works downtown and am in the office a few days a week, it would be convenient to have providers back downtown for some midday fun. But I understand why so many have opted for the suburbs.

I don't meet any ladies in Minneapolis anymore. It is too dangerous.

Remember even a minor incident needs an explanation on why you were there. I have no excuse to be in Minneapolis anymore. Accountants moved to the burbs, etc.

a lot of visiting providers WANT to go downtown but based on what they've read on various platforms, heard from clients who reach out to them, etc., they opt to not go downtown. As someone who frequently goes out with friends in Uptown and Downtown, we have yet to feel unsafe in the area at night, let alone during the day.

I just read on another board that a girl from Vegas was jumped and robbed in downtown Mpls, not good!

That’s not to say I wouldn’t go there to see a smoking hot provider but the armed muggings and carjackings are out of control.  As for Uptown, forget about it.  What was once a cool hip spot with boutique stores, restaurants, bars, and the best hair salons in the city is a war zone left by the Lake Street carnage from two years ago.  What a shame a promising place was ruined by a select group of animals.

I live in Uptown and still love it. True, I don't go out after 10pm and I keep alert to my surroundings but it is still the place to be if you love city living and don't want to be chained to your car.

I can walk to Lake of the Isles, the grocery store, my chiropractor, my dentist, my gym and tons of coffee shops and restaurants. Yes, some have closed but there are some new ones that have become favorites.

Right now every city in the country, big or small, is seeing a high level of crime since Floyd/Covid. I personally think it starts with the court system. Bad guys get arrested and then released, even for violent crimes. It's ridiculous.

Not buying it. Downtown is safer than uptown or north side. Thats were the majority of crime has been. I'm downtown all the time and no problems, but as usual pay attention to your surroundings and time of day.. don't put yourself in position to be prayed upon. Mpls is a big city with big city problems its also rated the 6th best place to live and that is no lie. The danger area is lake street and West Broadway and there surrounding ares, but those areas have always been sketchy and your down there committing a crime and meeting someone to commit a crime what the fuck do you think the neighborhood is gonna have for residents. Sure it's consented between 2 adults but your doing business with nefarious individuals. I usually do outcall to the suburbs cause thats the safest, but Bloomington seems to have more stings than anywhere else so why would you feel safer lobbying there than hotels downtown.Anyway stay safe and pay attention if something seems to good it probably isnt.

And I love it.
I have Never had a problem on any outcalls
and never an issue at my locatons.
My Incall Is in a Upscale Luxury buliding, In the Arts District.
all of my clients can vouch that there have never been any issues and they enjoy visiting me.
Honestly Dwtn has cleaned up since the whole GF ordeal.  Have you been here since?
Yes there is higher crime s in Minneapolis, but there is crime in every city in MN.
Its all about having some fun and just minding your busniess.
I have had incalls in the Burbs and never cared for it, too many nosey neighbors.
I will remain in Mpls,  to each is own I suppose....
Anyways,  I appreciate my clients that love to come see me and have for years now.

I have lived and worked downtown for the last 20 years.  I avoid walking downtown late night in certain risk areas.  I really dislike hotels in Bloomington and wish providers would come back to the higher end hotels downtown.

Last week I had a drink after a meeting with a friend near the stadium. He left and two attractive young women came over and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.  Except I had to because I had a dinner date. Two days later something very similar happened at a restaurant/bar in the North Loop. Do you think I will keep going back? Silly question.

What bars were you at when this happened?   I'd like to check them out.   Always been a bit of a fantasy/bucket list item to pick up a provider in a bar.  Pm me if need be.

I don’t blame them one bit.  It’s called mitigating risk.
