it's not just an occasional old car they seize. If you are busted at a hotel in  MN, by law that can be charged as a gross misdemeanor, and you can be taken to jail not just ticketed. And your car can be forfeited.  They will tow it to impound and file papers to forfeit the vehicle.  if you own it you lose it. if you owe on it... guess what??  They take it and you continue to make payments.  There are many horseshit forfeiture stories, but the law is on their side regardless how fucked up you think it is.  Just checkout MN Statute 609.5312 subd 3

I now have two safety deposit boxes that I use and make relatively frequent trips that them because of it's always a fear that could happen. I get nervous when I've got anything about a single appointments rates on me.

Let me get this straight.  There is 20K to protect and you tell a cop EVERYTHING????   If she 'begged' the cop--that was an offer.  Perhaps not really hi-end after all.  Dont complain about the loss; show the universe some respect and ask for a brain for Christmas.

The whole story looked like fake news. The provider was with two guys and made so much noise the hotel snoop asked the guy upon leaving if he paid for it and he admitted to paying $5000 for a $600/hour girl.
Yeah right!  Whole story was bullshit.

That was the hotel dick's account.  And the reason is that it (disturbing others) gives the hotel the right to enter the room uninvited.
