Are you kidding me? Do you know first hand that someone got a DWI and then plea bargined or do you make shit up all that you think sounds cool all the time? Why not put the blame where it belongs? Is it impossible to believe that one of the girls was careless? You get enough people coming through there (or should I say cumming?) and just by numbers alone the odds are that something is going to happen. Why don't you go speculate on something you actually know about and leave the guessing for people who have an actual clue.

Heard on channel 4 news, at five.
5 dancers were busted for prostution, and the owner was
busted for promotion of prostution.
Investagators from the County sheriffs office made arrests
of 5 dancers, and as well the Owner of the Camp bar was
arrested for promoting prostution, late last night.
The arrested parties have all been released on bail at this
time. The bar owners son, in a statment to the news channel 4
said that at no time has there been prostution within the bar.
I wonder if those who were so easy to post threads on this
subject so often, would they care to comment now?

This is an example of loose internet traffic, getting people busted!
There has been way to much posted on this place the last six months or so.  I know they can't bust a place for a posting on the net, but it does give them a reason to investigate more.  
A lesson to all here; "Beware what you post on a public board".  A little forthought protects our hobby for all.

My hunch is that they had the place on the radar long before the discussions here...as is always the case with strip clubs that the moral majority wanna see paved into a parking lot for a bingo hall.

Maybe.  But I have seen it happen over and over on the net.  Lots of post about illegal activity at strip clubs, etc.  Than the place gets busted.

It could be the postings here and other places; it could be carelessness somewhere else; or it could be both.  I would suggest that anyone replying to a question regarding take out at strip clubs do so via PM or e-mail rather than posting it on the open here.

Very good point.
That is exactly what I was trying to say.  (I just did not say it very well).
We may never know what ever tipped off law enforcement to begin investigation of the club.  
But the internet can be used by cops as easy as we do.

First of all, LE can and DOES read this board.  I mean, how many guys can sit at their desk and gawk @ half naked & fully naked women, read about them like a penthouse forum mag with tax payer supplied dsl and free coffee to boot?  And get paid for it because that is their job?!  Bet your ass they read it.

What I know of Ripley (and I've been in there occasionally over the last 15 years); It's major clientele is a few redneck locals and a lot of very young men from directly across the road (Camp Ripley).  Now add a number of horndogs from around the state showing up wanting a piece of ass because some dipshit went on and on about it on here.  There is no local LE and the MP's from the base 300 feet away don't touch it.  See no evil, hear no evil and so on.  If anyone had anything to do with it, it was the loudmouth on here acting like the big man.

If it were my guess, and it's only a guess, I'd bet someone attempted to or succeeded in erasing a DWI received leaving the bar by forwarding some more of this info to his arresting officer.

"If it were my guess" were my words.  I think you are going way beyond reality when you accuse me of "making shit up".  I did not say that's what caused it.  I've been there more than a few times and I do have a clue what goes on because I consider myself to be one of the local "rednecks" as I stated in my post.  Maybe you take offense at my post because you are the one I referred to as "some dipshit"!  Maybe not, who knows.  I'll say it again, the dipshit went to far because I was shaking my head every time I read how much it costs, who you could give money to and what specific dancers worked on the side.  There was simply nothing vague about it.  There is a process a person can go through if they need to correspond with that type of info AND IT'S NOT ON A EXTREMELY PUBLIC BOARD!

So, if you still want to bitch, drop the alias and fire away.

This wasn't an issue of LE monitoring this board and then doing something.  Everyone up there has known about it.  They kept an eye on things to insure that there were no underage girls and that everyone was working there of their own choice.  As long as everything was low key and the only law being broken was common prostitution they didn't really give a rip, they had better things to do with their time.  Apparently some do gooders got wind of things and started making a stink and the sheriff thought he had to do something.  I guess he also figured that since he had to do something he'd get some good publicity at the same time.

FYI, many departments, including Mpls, take a similar view.  They've got more important things to do with limited resources than bust people for consensual adult sex - prostitution or not.  Mpls does occasional street sweeps to keep up appearances and keep activity from getting too blatant.  Otherwise they only put effort in when there are complaints or when they think there might be underage or trafficking issues involved.  They know that they'll never eliminate nor even reduce activity no matter what they do and that 98% of it is completely harmless anyway.
