Fake pics on these lesser sites such as BP, CL and CV has been around since the beginning, nothing new here.

Why do they do it you ask?

1. Many are butt ugly and drug addicts. Ever seen what drugs do to ones body, face and teeth in particular?

2. Many have never seen 9th grade and are too dumb, stupid to know better. You can't fix stupid

3. Many have pimps who do the work for them

4. There is a sucker born every minute that will fall for those fake pics

5. Those fake pics make them a lot of money compared to what they might make at another job if they can find one

Excuse me if this has been discussed before, but I am just amazed at how many ads on BP seem to use blatantly fake pics.  Is this the new standard?  I mean, it seems like every other post is related to tineye hits, people stealing photos, and people just using photos of who knows whom.  

So my question is, why are so many people doing this?

Is it
A.  they are embarrassed with the way they look and they feel that if they used a real photo noone would call?
B.  They are trying to be 'discreet' by not showing photos of themselves on the internet?  (This one makes no sense really, since you have the option to just hide your face in the photo or just say that you dont want to show a photo in the ad.)
C.  They feel as though clients are looking for one particular type of girl and even though they don't fit that mold, by posting a photo of a girl that does, they will get calls?

None of these really make sense to to me personally, but I am hoping the board can shed some insight.  It is funny that people feel the have to put in their ads 'real photos'.  And the funny thing about that, is that many of those have also turned up to be fake!

Are the guys a part of the problem by always going through with the call when the girl shows up even though she is OBVIOUSLY not the person from the ad??

I guess I have been lucky, I have yet to meet a provider who tried to up sell or was using fake photos. I have read quite a few reviews that this is happening, and I think it is total crap... I mean that some providers are falsifying their service. I think I would turn around, walk away and let them know I was very unhappy with it. If the people that used the service dont tolerate it then maybe it will change....But I agree it is sad... many guys like heavier women, many like them thin, it really doesnt matter a whole lot to me as long as their personality is genuine and I click with them.... anyway just my 2 cents!!

Figuring that once the guy actually shows up, enough of them will stay anyway that they make better money than they could at something else.  Or they may just try to rip them off through a cancellation fee or intimidation.  And yes, guys do make it a worse problem when they go through with these appointments.

Occasionally, you will find a girl who uses pics that are close to what she looks like because she either doesn't have decent pics or is worried about her privacy but doesn't want to really mislead the guys.  That's pretty rare though; most of it is just a way to try and rip guys off.

because we want to discover the hidden gem!  at least that is why I do it.

After she gets done rambling off her excuses for the bait and switch, just tell her it's time for her to get some more recent pics and that you'd love to help her out; at which point you whip out your cell phone and snap a pic of her mortified face and tell her you'll post it on TER for her - free of charge.

Fake pics have been around from the beginning, on all ad sites - Eros, BP, Cityvibe, etc, etc,

The reasons are numerous.  

Many times its an agency/pimp that is posting several ads with "stock" photos and they just send whatever girl is available and sometimes not even remotely the same as in the photo.  (have shown up in situations like that and they simply say - oh, she's my roommate but got caught up at her job or some shit.  I can see you though if you like, batting eyelashes.  

They are super fearful of anyone recognizing them.  Sometimes just a tattoo, jewelry, shoes, background stuff could be enough.  Many legitimate ones will not show their face if its a real photo, with exceptions. They don't want hotel staff to recognize them.   More often than not, if the ad photos have a face, its a fake.  

They are just not that hot looking and need better bait to hook a guy.  If its late, and they are not butt ugly, the guy will go through with the date anyway. I am embarrassed to admit how many times my little head did the thinking at this point and let them get away with it, especially if they aren't that bad looking.  Its amazing how they will continue to insist you are wrong if you suggest the photos are not them.  Have heard it all - it was taken last summer, I changed my hair color, I have gained a little weight,  I was pregnant, its just the lighting, blah blah blah.  Suck suck suck fuck fuck fuck, and 15 minutes later you are driving away feeling like a dumb ass.

who are on TER and have great reviews. If you're looking for someone new to meet, there's plenty of choices out there! Some ladies advertise, some don't and some are somewhat UTR. You just need to use the resources available to you to find the lady and experience you're looking for.

IMHO, It's best to be smart, stick to what you know, do your homework, and ALWAYS play safe!

I agree. But then, I try to stick to providers my own age, so they always have reviews up. Not saying everybody should do it that way, but it definitely floats my boat. I stick with the pros, and I always have a good, satisfying evening out.

I don't hobby often, and getting to do it even less because almost every provider wants references, and I don't trust the verification services. I hate to go get some random dates I am not even attracted to just to get references. oh well, no hobbying for me forbthe time being!

It's the same in DC/NOVA/MD bp and other areas i've looked at. I would think those using fake pics would eventually be outted and disappear but guys should really just start googling the providers name with her number she's using in her ads to see reports or reviews on her before calling. If more did that then then fakes wouldn't have much business...I think.
