The man showed some balz or stupidity.  Going to the cops admitting crime and his complicity.  Seems to have worked out well unless I'm missing information.

Just makes me wonder still.....if ladies are caught up in this type of thing and are robbed, then they probably won't report it.  Double-edged sword.  The stakes double if a lady is injured.  What do or would you ladies do?  Except of course use good screening, and stay off BP/

....and I know that this issue of using BP has been discussed many times, but to me these are reasons 1 and 2 why I will not use BP....being robbed and underage girls.  I know that many of you research these BP ads, but you run this risk far too many times for my comfort, imho.

You made some very valid points.  I check out backpage like many others do.  I share the same fears that you pointed out.  I also know from reading the boards that many reputable ladies advertise there.  So the question really becomes:  how good is the screening on both the provider and hobbyist's end?  I'd also like to know if both (hobbyist and provider) have the forethought of  what to do in contingencies like what happend.  Your' was a valid point(s).

I protect against this type of event by carrying two guns with me to all incall visits to providers.  One is a .38 in a shoulder holster and the other is a smaller pistol that I keep in my boot.  They make me more far comfortable than screening.  I've only needed them twice, but I was glad to have them!

If someone calls an ad off of BP without checking into it beforehand then yes they are asking for trouble.  But the reality is that many very reputable providers have and continue to use BP.

I would never call a girl off BP and arrange anything unless I have verified her through other sources, (other sites, P411, Date-Check, TER Reviews, other review sites, etc...)  For me there has to be enough evidence that she is legit.  

There are sooooooo many legit girls in the hobby that are easy enough to find and verify, that there is no excuse for me to take that kind of risk.

That's unfortunate for the new girls to the hobby that are perfectly legit, just trying to get established without any reviews or anything. The only thing I can think of in that situation for me is if another provider I know well enough recommends her, and vouches for her.

Another thing I think about is that BP is the center of the LE radar! The increases the risk just based on that alone.

The minor female is a criminal who abetted the thugs in the commission of this crime. Based solely on the info in this news article, she should be charged as an adult for this.
The article didn't say what happened to the victim. He unknowingly solicited a minor for prostitution. Usually, that means you're fucked and charged with a felony for child prostitution, even tho you may not have been aware she was a minor.
Maybe it was not so smart for him to go to LE unless he gets out of this with no charges against him.

Seems to me that there's a world of difference between these two categories.  A LOT less risk in the latter.  I would NEVER see a BP escort unless otherwise verified, as has been said.  But, I've seen several BP ladies for body rubs, and they've all worked out fine (so far--knock on wood!).

If the robber had a weapon or if I was injured in any way, I would report it.

The report doesn't say there was any knowledge of his knowing she was a minor or any contact between the two of them beyond some brief conversation.  I would think that as far as building a criminal case goes, they would be better off using the would be client as a witness to help establish that the robbers were using this girl as part of their scheme and try to nail them for essentially being pimps and promoting prostitution of a minor.

I understand being safe and all but for that to happen one needs to stay out of the situation in the first place.
People that want $60-$80 bp "specials" from unknown providers should come to expect 100% risk of having a disappointing session. That's just my observation. Not saying there aren't good  ladies at such a low rate either.
Really guns to a lady's IC ?  Ok well my retort to that is there's the door ----> come back when you get over your trust issues & can enjoy life and a providers company without firearms.

True I'm also a BP advertiser but I use it sparingly,  like what has been said before theres BP providers and BP advertisers . You crossed the line with your response by publicly identifying the name of my IC location. That my dear is a SERIOUS offense & IMO your alias should be flipped & you (according to TER rules) should be BANISHED! Until now I have found it easy to simply dismiss you as a cowardly, arrogant, mean spirited bully. However. When you put me at risk by posting my specific location on a public ho forum, you now climb up in the ranks & have earned the title as a dangerous, spiteful scum-bag that needs to be banished from the hobby all together.

There are SOME reputable providers that advertise on BP, but ALL reputable providers are on TER and/or P411...

Good question.  Some recent posts on the general board complained that enforcement of the rules is very selective and that it depends on who complains.  I'm ok with posting outrageous ideas, but this issue of outing a providers incall location is a matter of safety and security for the provider and every one of her clients.  That's the issue TER admin should take seriously, imho.  Why Leann did not get more support from some of the members here is also a question.

It is truly beginning to look as though if one is a troll, much as ThreeCupsPlease tends to be, that they can do whatever they like on this board and there is nothing that anyone else can do about it.  If he is not taken to the woodshed for outing a provider's location than I can only believe he has unlimited powers on this site.  How many people are tired of his act?  Who wants him gone besides me?

Let us all speak up then so that changes!  

I have actually had ton's of support via emails, phone calls, & PM's. I think the best thing that can be done is to privately contact TER Administration with your concerns about the issue. DON'T FEED THE TROLL! LOL!

The good news is there were only 9 reads when I caught it & had it removed. Thank's TER for your prompt response! (big hugs!) Additionally, I am relocating this weekend! (Great timing there TCP) It has been in the works for over a month so don't flatter yourself TCP thinking you scared me out of my comfort zone. All is safe & secure.
