I am driving from Mason City to Des Moines and the only thing I can get on the radio is twangy country or church music.  Now I know there are always jokes between Minnesota and Iowa, but I'm sure that not everyone in Iowa is a hick.

Before anyone starts throwing things at me, I'm just giving Iowa a hard time.  Or should you be giving me something hard?

Being from northern Iowa originally the problem is there aren't many people up there and even less radio stations.

When I make my way to the Cities I have the same problem.  There are a couple of classic rock stations but you have to be patient going through the dial to find them.

but you are correct, there are a great deal of miles of open land between the cities and Des Moines.

I took it that way Suzy but if you are going to make that trip very often, you might want to invest in a satellite radio!!
